You mean the same type campaign finance violations that Obama was found guilty of and paid a $375,000.00 fine?
Thanks for the promotion! Campaign finance fraud is punishable of up to 5 years in prison if the amounts are over $25.000. Both instances are over that threshold for the felony(ies).
Never underestimate the left. Just look at what they did to Dinesh Joseph D'Souza. the left has one legal system and everyone else has another.
If Trump were to be found guilty (there is plenty of reason to think Cohen didn't commit the crime he pled guilty to), Similar amounts being funneled the way you propose have been fines in the past. Why do you commit to the "up to 5 years in prison" piece of the law in this case?

President Obama's campaign was accused of the violations, whereas Trump specifically was accused. The Obama campaign was not found to have willfully violated the law, whereas Trump and Cohen are accused of willfully violating the law. Also, the Obama campaign violation was a timing violation that they disclosed, whereas the Trump violation was intended to never be disclosed.

Trump lied about it and did everything under the sun to cover it up but got caught and his co-conspirator is going to prison for it. Compare that to circumstances related to the BO fine, there's no comparison.

Our entire criminal system is dependent on liars. What a joke. Half the inmates would be out if liars were written off. Fairly decent shot the prosecution had corroborating evidence. They don't just let people lie in their plea agreements.
