What if he was a special needs teen? You expect him to care about being embarrassed?
Also, our society is effed up if the only way we can relate to someone crying about something that is important to them is to imagine how embarrassed it would make us feel. I prefer the "not giving a flying sh*t what people think" approach, and many kids with special needs/mental deficiencies live that kind of life every day - naturally not giving a sh*t what people think.

Yeah if he is special needs some of us may have crossed the line a little bit. But this thread has turned more into the sensitivity level of today’s youth. And to be honest, it’s gotten kinda crazy. I thought those on the autism spectrum tended to show lack of emotion?(Perhaps I'm thinking of Aspergers) This is completely opposite. Besides, it seems every other kid now days is diagnosed as "autistic." So it could mean anything from totally dependent and disabled, to mere personality quirks. Hell I'm taking engineering courses now with a lot of the younger generation and half of them claim to be "autistic," "ADHD, or "OCD," etc. Truth is, most of them are just socially awkward dorks. So in short, being "autistic" doesn't necessarily make someone "special needs." But not saying he isn't. Don't know him. Just saying that "autistic" could mean about anything.
Pisses you off? Why are so many people so angry all the time now? You see it on the news every night.....drive by shootings, people throwing coffee or shooting guns into drive thru windows because an order was wrong, road rage etc.
I'd say a bigger problem than Zoomers crying tears of joy are the rage-a-holics who feel righteous in expressing their anger with anyone who behaves or looks in a manner they deem wrong.

I saw a genuinely happy kid who was full of positive raw emotion that wasn't hurting anyone. Was it how I would react?..... absolutely not.....but It didn't bother me in the least.
