***** Official St. Joe's vs Kentucky Game Thread *****

[bbnkat02]

Saint Joseph's doing a really good job of face guarding Reed around the perimeter.

They are doing a damn good job of cutting off driving lanes. Forcing us to shoot. Luckily, we can.

[jameslee32]

That seemed like a foul on STJ. Or at least it was contact that caused Reed to lose the ball.

These refs that aren't household names aren't calling a lot of fouls with very fast games this year.

Defense immediately poor after Reed goes to the bench, STJ 3.
And another.
And another.
Tied at 38.
Reed back in after the TO.

[phyrekat]

The biggest takeaway from tonight is already going to be how badly we need a center back. Really hope we see Bradshaw back this Friday.. because eventually we're gonna lose games without a front court.

Back? We would have had to have actually had one first for them to be back.

[RMorris33_rivals]

Edwards 3!

[jessieshorts8]

Justin!

[bbnkat02]

EDDDDDDDDDDWARDS!

[ck-2]

Nice to see that three by Edwards.

[DaDirtyLeb69]

I’m tired of teams being on fire in rupp

[TortElvisII]

Play Station

[MidseasonTweak]

Wow

[bbnkat02]

IF they start hitting 3s we're in for a wire type game.

[Kingslayer07]

PLAY SOME FKN DEFENSE!!!!

[RMorris33_rivals]

Finish that.. that was a perfect assist from Dilly

[bbnkat02]

and here we go.......this is what I was afraid of.

They CAN shoot.

[CatPhight_rivals65113]

ugh...

[Kentucky2022]

How does he constantly miss easy dunks

[jessieshorts8]

I thought this was be a close game.

[Crawfords Corner]

Edwards has no lift

[MbergCat]

Edwards rim stuffed. Again.

[Jamal Mercer]

So we can add no lift to Edwards also having weak hands. Geesh

Did the same thing vs KU

[TortElvisII]

Good thing Cal benches Shep to let St Joe's catch up.

[bbnkat02]

PLAY SOME FKN DEFENSE!!!!

That last one had a hand in the face about as well as you can do it.

[sammysdad05]

Teams don’t miss at Rupp except for us

[LmdCat]

Wow, how many easy dunks can one player miss?

[Bkocats]

Well…
I got nothing

Same ole same ole

[KyLegacyBBN]

Lmao. Edwards.

[Demarcus Kidd-Miller]

I love Dilly but he has to stop leaving shooters. He's given up a lot of open threes this year. Only complaint I really have about him.

[jameslee32]

3 for Tre!!!
Tre block!
Cats by 3 ath.

[KyLegacyBBN]

Shep goes out we start losing.

[chroix]

Cal knows who can play. This lineup proves it.

[kennyskywalker34]

If this team doesn't improve on defense dramatically and get at least 1 seven footer on the floor. They won't win anything.
Going to be fun to watch shoot. But you gotta play better defense and have to have size.

[DaDirtyLeb69]

Guard the 3 point line better, Kentucky literally concedes open 3s to teams and I never understand it

[MidseasonTweak]

Teams don’t miss at Rupp except for us

They're getting open shots and we are hitting lol

[bbnkat02]

Halftime at Rupp

Cats-41
Hawks- 38

Thank Goodness we can shoot, or we'd be down 6-9 right now.

[StubbornPenny]

To be fair to Edwards, that rim is a hell of a defender

[*CatinIL*]

This bunch is keeping these first halves close.

[RMorris33_rivals]

Mitchell 3 -> Mitchell block

Good way to end the last few seconds at least

[Farsight]

I'll keep on echoing this.

30+ minutes a game.

Best Line up NO CONTEST

Dilly
Shep
Reeves
Thiero
Mitchell

[LineSkiCat14]

There has to be some stats to back up our opponents shooting in Rupp. I'd love to compare opponents 3pt shooting in Rupp, Cameron and AFH.. and just see if it's similar.
