I really feel bad for these guys. Good effort and hustle, just don't have enough guys lacing them up at this point. Tough to overcome not having 4 guys that would play and contribute. Thought EJ and staff did a good job tonight. As much as I do not think Eddie has done a good job based on the past 2.5 years he probably deserves one more year with all the injuries. For some reason, it's a lot clearer to me watching on TV than when at tha RAC live.

Sorry when Goode plays it is 4 on five. Need Laurent back badly. Team has to be perfect.
He's really bad - you can tolerate a non-athletic guy, who can't defend or create his own shot, when he's at least a great shooter, but he's not even a decent shooter, except maybe FTs, where nobody's moving.

Greene Figg, do you think they could be tired in 2nd half? Sanders was great first half and no legs in second.

Effort was good for the first half..not the 2nd....I think with the close game. Trying to run with Ohio State was a recipe for disaster in the 2nd half. RU wasn't going to able to compete, they should have slowed it down and taken the air out the ball. OSU is going to score over 50 points this half. Game got out of hand because we tried to run and predictably the lead grew

65-31 to end the game..great effort to start but pretty dismal in the 2nd half. Its a lot of things, tired legs, effort, and low bball iq, and wrong strategy

I agree with you, I have no idea why RU didn't slow it down. There was no D played in the 2nd half

The sign of no respect was seen in the second half by the Ohio State players laughing on the bench. The second half was a glorified scrimmage with dunks and three pointers .Rutgers simply ran out of gas in the second half which was clearly seen in Sanders performance scoring only 3 points after 17 in the first half.

You get tired what happens, poor defense and miss foul shots. Need to get Laurent back.

So, who gave a scholarship to Goode? Or Ryan Johnson? Or brings in a RS under-sized guard who's sitting out?

Injuries have killed, but there would be more depth if Eddie hadn't been stealing kids from Winthrop and Sacred Heart. A competent staff wouldn't be so screwed by 3 injuries. Sorry, Doorson is too much of a project to miss.

78, Laurent played vs Indiana. How was that game. Kid has some size and we need him back. You don't like Jordan, I am not thrilled either. 7 kids not getting it done. I wrote on board second half would be disaster. Goode should be playing 5 minutes.

bingo..you just cant say oooh he was a dealt a bad hand because of injuries...its program management and the talent brought in. You have some guys not at this level and all but Lewis recruited by Jordan. The losses of both Johnsons hurt. Saving a schollie hurt. So yes when analyzing the games the team is overmatched totally but I look beyond that

he ran out of gas even earlier...I think he had 15 points in the first 12 minutes or so. RU had like 25 points at that time...so only 5 points for almost 30 minutes

There is a lot to scratch your head about in this game. Did Goode have a single shot? Did Lewis? (I stopped watching for most of the second half -- too painful). Why do the same two or three players take all of the shots? Why does EJ allow Lewis to dribble, ever? He turns it over every time he tries. Why does he allow Williams to take 3-point shots? He simply cannot make them. Why can't EJ ever, ever, do anything to stop the bleeding like every other college coach in America is able to do? With each game that passes, this gets harder and harder to defend.

Shields -- Freeman and Laurent being out hurt. DIallo will be virtually useless in B1G games. Doorson? Meh. Wasting scholarships on the three Johnsons and Goode and taking on 2 non-qualifiers last year, one who's left and the other is still a couple years away (if ever) crippled the depth. And that is ALL on the staff for talent identification or failing to check the grades.

What amazed me is the strategy of throwing up the white flag on rebounding. It is the equivalent of the prevent defense, except you aren't supposed to do it the entire game.

wa obvious they were going to tire in the second half vs a vastly quicker and more athletic team. so why increase possessions?

side note when was the last time you saw a Rutgers player make the play Sanders did in second half - filthy crossover , made his guy disappear, jump stop in lane , went right at two bigs and even off the jump stop had the ups to hang and almost scoop in the three point play.

Greg Lewis: 0 shots in 13 minutes (13 minutes?), 2 TOs. Goode: 0 shots in 29 minutes. Williams: 2-13 overall, 1-8 from 3 point range, 1-4 (!) FT.

Cross Over step back 3 pointers is skill. 12-15 dunks against and 96 points is a lack of effort.

Made a lot of individual offensive plays and out scored OSU 43-41.

Lewis did nothing tonight, has to at least rebound. Of course he can't get in foul trouble.

He gets a pass from...other 6 defensively no.

On a seperate note....how can we be so bad defensively playing zone. It takes 6 passes and 13 seconds for an alley op dunk

When you are a foot shorter, slower, and less athletic it makes a big difference.

Effort was there for a good part of the game. Size, strength, talent, athletic ability etc wasn't. That's how you give up 90+ points.

We do not have the type of team that does well with a slow down offense. Only one real ball handler, not great passers, no low post game.

They don't value rebounding, and it doesn't really matter at this point. They are too undersized to do it. This game was a little better, but I am amazed at how they don't go after rebounds which should lead to not being fast breaked constantly. We give up waaaay to many easy points in transition even if going after the ball. For a team that doesn't even try to rebound, it's pretty bad.

Tonight was good effort. The basketball IQ isn't there an never will be, but they tried tonight at least. Unfortunately with this coach, staff, and player options, that as good as it can probably get.

Daniels more then a couple signature turnovers and bad shots

Mike Williams is not a D1 shooting guard. nevermind Big Ten.

going to the Monmouth game Monday instead of Purdue. can you imagine those Purdue bigs?
