Ohio State was last 4 out at 17-15? Does that mean we really did have more of a chance than we thought if we pulled of Michigan.

Michigan behind Purdue is absurd.

Season should matter. We finished higher in standings, beat them twice and won the conference tournament.

We had way more Q1 wins.

Basically we are now in a world where games in November matter more than those late in the year. It’s non sensical

No one was robbed like Rutgers was robbed in 2023. All of those teams West Virginia , Indiana , Ohio State or Boise State were not tourney worthy all year. Only WVU has a sliver of an argument but hasn’t done anything special for last 2 months. The RU Screw was the worst

Fifty years from now there'll be Rutgers fans saying "you think YOU were screwed? Let me tell you about..."

Bubba Cunningham talking about how difficult it was to move teams around to spread out the 14 SEC teams.

They are 1000% going to use this as a reason to expand the tournament field.

The chairmen says he wasn't in the room when they picked nc-- like that matters. Now if he never, ever was in any room --never on the committee he would be making a point. From experience, politics and who you know rules the day.

Conference tourneys don't matter
Conference tourneys don't matter

Purdue was ahead of Michigan coming into Wednesday and they kept it that way

If only we had their text emails and audio of other things he said

They did it right in front us and don't care that they did

Very similar to UCLA getting a 7 and Oregon a 5.

No. Since Rutgers is not located in the south and is not a member of the ACC/SEC, we would need 20 wins to hope for a play-in game!

I don't know how to analyze and quantify resumes (and don't want to know at this point, I'll just see what Bac is saying). But I think Michigan should be seeded above Maryland as well.

Perhaps, as Bac said all along, nobody even looked at the results of the weekend tournaments...

ETA: this was already said above in response, now that I looked again.

I don’t see how North Carolina and Xavier both got into the tournament. Each only had one quad win. That is a disgrace. UNC always seems to get a break. I know ESPN is actually doing everything to support the ACC and having an AD or associate AD as a chairman on the committee had to help UNC. I think that was a huge travesty as was Xavier making the tournament was also a travesty with only one quad one win.

That is an outrageous comment. It'll never happen, but he should be called out for that copout of a remark...

yep on one hand Q1 wins matter....Texas with 7 Q1 and 7 wins vs field but 15 losses and 3 games below 500 at 12-15 in Q123 and non conference sos of 280

xavier 1-9 in Q1, 3 wins vs field, nothing ooc in middle of road sos

unc 1-12 in Q1, 1 win vs field....very strong ooc

indiana 4-13 in Q1, 2 win vs field, nothing ooc in middle of road sos....best win of any bubble school at Michigan State, no loss outside Q1

if you are taking unc, you have to take indiana

which is it

I dont think Michigan should be over Maryland necessarily but over Purdue yes...based on the results of the big 10 tourney but the fact is tourney action doesnt matter

with respect to Michigan, their resume was sagging the last 2 weeks, I belive the NET had fallen actually to 30...the committee had that on their mind when they met on Wednesday and they decided seeding likely before yesterday semis and were not going to bother with any contingency for today
