Nope!!! Bilas was about as bad in his Pro Carolina Bias today as I have ever heard him. I think the realization of the Scheyer Sweep really hit him hard! Sorry Jay, not sorry.

I want to pay tribute to our guys for never giving up. I was a little worried when we got down 49-45, but this Duke team just finds a way. They bring their lunch pails!! Guys you really have done us proud!

Mostly just laughing at you giving up on our guys and coach Scheyer 4 minutes into the game. I never post in the game thread because people like you are too emotional so I enjoy going back and reading the dumb **** people post. You can’t hate on players and our coach and not expect a little feedback after we win.

Other than the odd scores in both meetings the most odd thing to me was the line on the game. I just didn’t see them as a nearly 5 point favorite and I think if Lively doesn’t have the foul trouble and gets more than 17 minutes Duke wins with a little more breathing room imo. Duke is a better team than when these two played a month ago and the Heels not really.

Rewatching the game, Dan Schulman gets noticeably more excited when the Cheats do something. Jay tries way too hard to be bipartisan that it comes off as partisan to whoever we play.

Pebbles gets away with walking A LOT. He also fouls so much and gets away with putting his hands all over everything but the ball. Seeing that Tyler Hansflopper was there for the loss and ole Roy makes this so sweet. Leaky got away with a push-off near the end when Flip went down and it left Leaky Raft wide open.

Six straight wins, and we swept those cheating *****!

He’s an intimidator. Wise move of Jon to park him in the first half after the 2 fouls. He had 4 three minutes into the second but just having him in there at all you have that great ability to affect shots in altering/blocking and even sometimes making the guy think twice about entering thine lane. And of course rebound the ball. Filipowski and Lively are a menacing duo down low without a doubt and a major part of why this team can do some damage in the NCAA’s. They’re talented, they seem to really like one another and they seem to “want it.” They’ll fight hard no matter what that’s for sure. They’re an enjoyable team that seems invested and it’s been nice to see the growth even though we hate the stumbles along the way. 23-8 is solid for this group especially when viewed through the prism of the injury problems and extreme youth. And had KF received two free throws (per the ACC) there is a near 80% chance of them being 24-7 and tied for first.

Jon flat out coached Davis.:)
It will now take a miracle for the Cheats to get in the tournament. They are fresh out of them. Last year really was just a wild fluke run.:D

I remember having a conversation with people before the season started that UNC was now the *hunted* instead of the *hunter* like they were last year. Everyone knows in sports, it’s hard being the hunted. You get everyone’s best shot and can’t take any games off. We had all of the pressure on us last season cause it was really championship or bust in K’s final season.

Now they have the target on their back and are playing with the weight of the world with early preseason expectations. I think they peaked last season in the tournament and are really just an average team.

I have to admit, I did not expect a win last night. Carolina might not have been the #1 ranked team the preseason polls suggested, but they are still a good team, and with Nance beginning to play like the replacement he was supposed to be, a home crowd and their backs against the wall against a team that really had only 1 guy who remembered the pain of last year’s last 2 games against Carolina, I thought this would be a loss. Thrilled to be wrong, and hopeful that we’re the guys this year who can ride the streak.
