Go ahead. He’s deserved every bit of his criticism. Talk to me when he continues this type of play. He has it in him but it hasn’t shown.
Yeah, I guess you have a point, college seniors should never make freshman mistakes since they've been playing college ball for over 3 years…… WAIT.

It's almost scary how much PJ reminds me of a freshman Terrence Jones. Can absolutely take over when his head is in the game, or can disappear if it's not. So much talent though...even greater potential than Jones if he can develop his jump shot. He's got better touch inside than Jones and uses his strength better at times.

SGA is amazing. That kid is going to be special.

Very impressive defense. Cal must have made their lives hell in practice after that UCLA game.

Knox needs to slow down a bit. He's trying to do too much. He'll be fine.

I was not impressed at all with Washington...but today he's really attacking rebounds, loose balls, rotating to help on dribble penentration, etc.. His FT shooting is just a plus. Great job by PJ and staff to get him kick started a bit.

Nice post. This is what happens as the young ones learn and gain confidence. It's not easy to make the transition from high school ball to major college level program and succeed straight from the get go. Hell, even AD has his leaning curve.

For as bad as we played the majority of the half, we closed it out with awesome team ball. If we could play that way all the time we’d be a true title contender and top 5 team.
IMO our biggest problem isn’t the talent or even the coaching
It was the playing hero ball that’s the problem. Once the team decided to work as a team...even with the sloppiness at times...the run happened

Gave team a bit of grief after UCLA for a lack of effort. Huge turnaround so far today. Love the fight, aggressiveness, winning 50/50 balls!!, etc. This is how this team HAS to play.

It’s going to take more than 3-4 minutes and a few points to get people to believe in PJ after his below average start to the season.
He didn't deserve to be trashed. NONE OF THESE KIDS DESERVE THE CRAP THAT'S BEEN POSTED ABOUT THEM IN THIS THREAD. It's ********. They're kids and we f'ing knew they were going to play erratic at times. We talked about it all summer long. Everyone agreed, but that doesn't prevent you guys from trashing these kids.

Washington's best effort of the year.

It'd be nice to come out and step on their throats early in the second half. Doubt it happens but at least they've got a nice cushion.
Agree. Would love to see this to be the keystone game for him to turn around and be a great player.

Need to come out and play well the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half, because UL will go into the full court hatchet defense for the remaining 20 minutes. The only good thing is that they are in a little foul trouble and if it gets called half-way fairly, they will have some guys on the bench by the 12:00 minute mark.

Mistakes? You mean total lack of effort pretty much the whole season and being non-existent most games? For being touted a beast before this year, I’ve yet to see that. I hope he turns it up though. Glad he is showing total effort this game.

Hope Knox got the message that you either play hard or you sit.
He played very soft defense and picked up at least one lazy foul. He also made some questionable drives. When you only are leading or tied in two categories (turnovers and fouls), you need to change some things in the 2nd half.

As I said yesterday, Louisville is not a top 35 team. Garbage.

Think I called a 17 point win.

Some real ****** fans in this thread.

It's constructive criticism, people are pleased with their effort but you have to hit free throws better than they are. Cal also preaches both hands on the ball and they were not doing that either. We want them to do good and win this is a message board, this is where people hash it out. Compliments and criticism are handed out when they are warranted. Cal will say the same thing about hitting put backs and grabbing the ball, is it ****** when he sez it.

Yes yes yes, it's the one thing that gives me hope that we can be a special team this year.

Some of you all seriously under rate Jones and his time here. Outside of flexing for no reason the two players have very little in common.

Had Jones been on a couple of these recent vintage **** Cal teams he would be remembered like Kenny Walker.

I'm nervously optimistic.
The Big Anus will be back in the second, and although Louisville deserved the foul calls in the 1st, I expect the refs will try to even them out in the 2nd.

Beast? Who said he was going to be a beast in November/ December? Can we give the kid most of his freshman season? It's not like he was a top 10 recruit. He has the tools to be a beast but it's December and he's a Freshman.
Where is your college highlight reel or stat sheet? Obviously you were a bad *** in college.
