I love how much people are now hyping up VT on here. They are unranked, middle of the pack ACC team. If we lose at home to a team like that we are in for a long season.

Unranked yes but 9-1 too and have a great offense statistically on the season.
Doubt they shoot 62% for the game...
The only problem I have with that is that's who Va tech is. They make those shots. And they are wide open uncontested. I look for them to continue making those shots in the second half. We on the other hand are down six after a first half if shooting we probably can't duplicate.
We are ranked #8 in the country, at home, playing an unranked team, yet a lot of people expected us to lose this game. Even Cal sounded like he's preparing everyone for a loss. Bottom line this team isn't very good right now.
They'll just be replaced with idiots with less experience
UK can still win this..but the defense AND offense was worse than they've been all year the last 5+ minutes of the half. You have to be pretty terrible defensively when you have the size we have and still allow nearly 50 points in one half at home. The defense will have to step up in THIS game because one thing that CAN'T happen is UK allowing this game to get up in the 90s. UK needs to keep this down in the 70s even upper 70s or they will more than likely lose. Good luck, Coach Cal..if we win this, I'm pretty sure it will be because of him more than anything else.

Well first of all you need to know what you are looking at. Why are they shooting 62%? Wide open lanes and open shots from 3. Spread the floor and beat you off the bounce.
We played as well as we had the whole year for stretches in the first half and we are still down by a sizeable margin. Will be interesting to see how we respond on defense but Tech is not simply chunking up shots and getting lucky. They have skill, game plan and is carrying it out.

We shot well too? We were 45% from the floor and we are at 51% on season so we shot below average for us this year. If you are going to troll try and use facts.
Many times we depend on the other team of missing open shots a lot instead of the D really putting pressure on them. We cannot do that with Tech. Tech has the capability of beating us by over 20 with the fast play and shooting.
Ive been a Cat fan since about 1957. Watched a lot and listened to a lot on radio. Guess I’ve been spoiled to expect more regardless of age. I’ve seen some pretty young players play very good basketball.
The only reason VT isn't ranked is because they didn't start off ranked.
