Lots of game left but we have an upset alert in the Ivy League. Princeton down 8 with 4 to go in first half. Penn is 13-14. Princeton is the 1 and was 14-0 in conference

I also think ALA will tire out in the second half. Especially if we can make a run and get it to double digits.

Yep . If we win by 20 which we could easily those people will crawl back under the rock.
In reply to those of you who are critizing negative comments in the first half: We're reacting to what we see NOW. That's what the game thread is for. We criticize bad okay and cheer good play. If we didn't REACT, we wouldn't be here. If you don't want to see REACTIVE comments, wait until the game is over and read after-game posts.

Ten turnovers, under 50% from the line, four or five air balls, and we're still ahead. That just shows how bad Bama really is. They should get tired in the second half, but we've got to play well enough to take advantage of it.

Kansas lost.
UCLA lost.
UNC lost.
Villanova should've lost.

The rest of 1 and 2 seeds all pulled out small margin victories. UK shouldn't be held to a different standard. It's March, the majority of games will be dogfights.

But UNC lost to Duke..UCLA lost to Arizona. Kansas didn't give a crap to lose to TCU.

This is Bama..basketball. UK can't afford to lose this game. Tomorrow ? No big deal..but not today.

True...but if UK continues missing FTs and turning the ball over it doesn't matter how bad the other team is.

This team needs to value every possession and every free throw. We play like nobody is keeping score. Let's go!!!!

Need a sense of urgency for the second half. These kids are not playing disciplined ball. Avery Johnson is an excellent coach with a good game plan. UK needs to play fast and steady to wear Bama down. Don't like the way U.K. is playing into Bama's hands.

Many negative guys disappear when things turn positive.

Oh I agree. But we've watched this team enough...are you confident we can win 6 grinders in a row? I'm not. I'd say to win #9, we're going to need some spurts where the offense carries us.

His experience says offense gets conservative in the tourney??

Disagree. Many tourney games in March are grinders where defense wins out.

Agree, but look at it just from a perspective of last season. Villanova is not a great offensive team, but they scored in the 80's down the stretch to win the title. 3 of their 5 challenged NCAA games they scored 80 or more. Kentucky has broken 80 only twice since January and are averaging around 72 PPG since then.

I feel pretty good abiut where we are right now in this game. We missed a bunch of free throws, turned it over a bunch (mostly unforced), and had key players in foul trouble and still lead the game at the half. Nobody will look good doing that, but it all can be cleaned up.

Horrible start to the half. It looks like they are trying the "force the ball to Bam" offense but not in a good way.
