Anderson's not going to like the announcer talking about having to play 40 minutes. "You can't play just 20 minutes..."

We would all prefer to have a better back up to Bam, but he's a Wildcat, and he's ours. The kid is only 18, and he hustles his *** off.
That's a response I can live with. Very reasonable.

It's the folks who try to make a case for him actually beIng a legitimate D1 basketball player that drive me nuts.

OMG I just want the kid to be serviceable, where there isn't such a huge drop off when he's giving rest minutes
I don't think he's some paragon, at all - he's a four year guy who will be a good senior-leader when the time comes

I'd say our rebounding definitely improved 2nd half. FT % went up as well. Kind of cringing at the 3point %, but.....
After 6 turnovers in the first half, we only had 3 in the 2nd; but there were only 11 assists. Still, overall, a pretty good halftime adjustment.

We went to full on dribble drive in the second half. Not many passes and just drives to the basket. Everything was layups, dunks, or free throws.

Are you seriously suggesting that Isaac Humphries shouldn't be playing D-1 basketball?

He has a PER of 20, and a box plus/minus of 9.6.

Last I checked, he played all of his games against other D-1 players.

I would say calling a 19 year old 7 footer with that kind of output a non-D1 player would define unreasonable.

The huge disappointment this season is that SKJ is a mop up guy. That was not expected. If SKJ was the player the gurus said he was, Hump would not be in this position.

As it stands, we have a huge liability when Bam goes out. And yes, we just have to live with it.

But next year will be interesting. No way Hump sees the floor. So where did we that leave SKJ?

yeah I'm a little surprised with SKJ - thinking there is something going on behind the scenes with him.
I think Hump will play next year, limited minutes to be sure, but he'll play. Not sure what's going to happen with SKJ

I think as UK fans we get spoiled. We have so many great players come in and contribute right away.

Maybe SKJ is just on a normal curve and needs more years.

Or he may have just been overrated.

I think we need to give him some time

I liked it better when you ignored me. Guess you couldn't resist. It helps to define terms. When I say "legit D1 ball player," I'm speaking of someone who possesses the athleticism, basketball IQ, and skills necessary to competively play at the D1 level.

If you threw Isaac out there night in and night out for any team and give him starter minutes, he would not pass the eye test. He would look like a 7 foot dude running up and down a basketball court. He cannot compete at this level. Every fan is praying that he just doesn't screw it up too bad when he is out there.

Your pers, by the way, are meaningless given his limited minutes.
