everyone getting on briscoe lol. we were down 9-4 he scored 4 straight then got murray a three point play to tie the game. he had another jumper/drive too. he's playing good defense also. you guys go too hard. the fans demanded he take that shot with 5 seconds all groaning. he was still creating and frankly probably would have found us a better shot. good lord. he's not a good shooter. we know this. he gets it kicked it to him with 8 second or left wide open what is he supposed to do? it's the trade off. you guys should be used to it by now.

yes, they should

instead they ritually freak out every time he misses a shot

I know LSU is leaving Bridcoe open, but he just can't keep shooting jump shots when they're not falling. Great shooter's need to shoot themselves out of a slump. Briscoe is by no means a great shooter and his slump has been all season. He needs to rebound, play defense, and take the ball to the hole. He is what he is, at least for this season,

Yeah . thats it . Not that you are a "challenged" person. Briscoe played well beyond the last J he took and the pass he missed to Ulis . His D and overall game has been good today . Only one guy is playing bad and it is Poy. But I am not going to waste a ton of breath on that as it is silly to bash someone when we are playing well as a team as it is team game .
Cane you have no idea what a bash is, knucklehead. Just would like to see Hawkins get some mins and see what happens.

He is as good as the twins when he is confident . But the last J he took was a HORRIBLE decision as Willis was wide open But overall Briscoe has played great this half.
Twins were light years better on offense and underrated defensively.

Briscoe shooting the jumper is the same as Skal getting his confidence back by giving him a start and opportunity to perform despite his POOR play most of the year.

You can't have a guard being a complete liability from 10 foot and in when we get deep in the tourney.. even though he's missed some today he was able to knock them down agains UF and confidence goes A LONG WAYS. Cant get that confidence if you dont shoot it.
Briscoe has had 2 good shooting games all season (missouri and UF). Those are what we call an anomaly or an outlier. Take your choice. He's an awful shooter but a magician in the paint. He should be driving the ball. Which, coincidentally is Coach Cal's style but we have turned into this jump shooting team. With our guards we should lead the NCAA in free throws attempted. But we aren't even close to leading the SEC.
This year has been a head scratcher.

Coming off the floor at half it looked like Cal was upset that Briscoe had the ball instead of Ullis anyway.

Yes they were. I am talking about at shooting . Just watch 4-5 games of Briscoe his senior year and tell me he can't shoot. He was a 35% shooter from 3 and 73% from the line . He is a good shooter nothing more , nothing less. But his confidence had been shot so the players and Cal want him to keep shooting as the other option would be for him to go in a shell. WE need him to score from all areas.

Andrew Harrison stayed at the free throw line doing this. I don't understand it either.

oh right he should never take a shot

but also he should worry about getting his feet behind the line
He actually works to step inside the line to take the shot.
Guys like Murray take a step back. To be smart and get the extra point.
It's really only common sense.

Ulis' 3 pointing shooting baffles me.

So bad this season. Don't get it

He should drive the lane or pass it.
when they are packed in and he's all alone? when the shot clock is getting down and everyone else is guarded? that's typically what it looks like when he's drawing up to shoot wide open after we've passed and probed for 20 seconds.

Should've let Briscoe shoot the technical. You know to build his confidence at the line.
