I love it that's my kind of play. I love the unexpected on 1st and goal.
I still want Rettig
Everybody did but he's redeemed himself. Let's not get too crazy yet though.
As I said in the pull Laviano thread, he's going to make mistakes and so would Rettig. They're both new qbs. You can't get around it but you have to give a fair chance to overcome the hiccups/bad decisions with whoever you choose. It could cost us a game or 2, again though same for Rettig.
The improved run game/blocking certainly helped just like ii would have for Rettig. Expect this cry though to continue throughout the season. It would happen either way even if Rettig was chosen. (btw Rettig was my choice)
Never liked the way we've used TOs. Seems like they get used too easily and not saved for the end of games or halves.
wtf did we call a timeout there for. That would have been invaluable in a 2min drill at the end of the game. TOs are being burned too quickly. WSU still has timeouts. Big disadvantage.

Not once today have the safeties made an adjustment to the receiver running down the middle of the defense. I've never seen safeties lining up to start a play 5 yards outside of the hashmark in a 2 high safety look. WSU hasn't shown the ability to throw outside of the numbers, so why not have the safeties cheat towards the middle to take away the easy pass.
