Fauci was operating with incomplete knowledge, as most were last March and after much more data on mask effectiveness became available, he changed his stance on masks. That's science, plus he was trying to avoid running out of masks for medical personnel. Not one mask mandate has stopped any sort of spread. Early they could lie but now with the data and the numbers it is clear masks don’t work that well. Every country that was was praised for stopping the spread bully wearing masks was hit hard a month or so later inspire of masks mandates still in place. Gottlieb recently acknowledged this.

If the politicians really wanted people to get vaccinated they would say we are going back to normal life get vaccinated or get sick and move on. Instead they do everything possible to make it appear that vaccines don’t work. Then attack and blame the unvaccinated to try and entice them. If you have ever tried to get a child to do something or sell something to someone then you know this doesnt work. It is actually quite a phenomenon. You have people whose lives were saved with a vaccine and instead of being happy they are furious that others won’t get a vaccine even though it has no bearing on their lives. Just really odd. The downside of your thesis is letting the virus circulate through the unvaccinated will most likley lead to more variants of which our current vaccines don't provide protection. That then puts the vaccinated again at risk to a potentially more virulent strain.

I'll take it, but if everyone had gotten vaccinated, we wouldn't have the surging cases from the delta variant and would've been able to have indoor events like this without masks. Sad that we have so many people who don't understand the basic science and risk/reward math associated with the vaccines. Roughly 1000X lower death/hospitalization rates from COVID for those vaccinated vs. unvaccinated and near zero risk from the vaccines (only a few per million with severe side effects, which are usually manageable).

Those of us who are vaxxed should have a "vaccine passport."
The passport allows entry to sporting events, restaurants, theatre, etc. without a mask.
No passport,no entry.

If not, they can stay home.
It works in Israel.
