Duncan Powell just bailed on Georgetown. Although I would like to see him in orange, he would be a good fit for Duke.

Are guys just decommitting to see if they can get more NIL elsewhere? Sure seems that way. The portal is like the Wild West. I refuse to speculate any more on lineups as Foster and the 3 freshman are the only confirmed returnees right now. Does any one know why Mal and Cooper have not declared yet?
It's definitely poop or get off the toilet time. Stay or go. I don't want to hear how torn you were or how close you were to staying. It's irrelevant at this point. (not directed at anyone in particular I say this every year). These guys are professionals now. If one of my employees leave it's thank you and good luck and then my mind immediately goes to how am I going to replace them.

Kids got until next Saturday to declare for the draft and the portal closes the 24 . I think it’s more or less just waiting it out .
I stand by my comment that good news is coming as a program like Duke will never lack for talent. However, I would have thought we had some news this weekend. Jon and staff really making the fan base sweat this out.

I have a strange feeling that Cooper and Maluach are both coming back... it's hard for me say that, but IMO you don't miss out on Ament and Henderson unless a BIG BIG fish is at play.(Realistically i don't think it happens, but Hopefully). It's just strange that all this is happening like it is. Delayed announcement, decommitments. Imo, similar to MacKenzie M decommitted because of Flip returning... we can always hope right lol.

I would hope they know coops decision already...if coop was staying, I would think that the whole band would be coming back as well...imo
All I want from the portal is an Elton Brand clone, a Trajan Langdon clone and a William Avery clone. Maybe a Battier clone too ha. Back in the prehistoric AOL days my screen name was Langdon and a #.

The time to enter the portal is in three days . I suspect you hear from Coop and Mal this week along with the rest of the. As it stands right now for sure , Duke has Foster and three freshman coming in . Hopefully more stay but the closer it gets to these dates with no announcement the weirder this becomes .
Maybe but Kon stated a few times (as his family did) the goal was to be drafted this year. Mal prob should in all reality return but I would think his situation it makes the most sense to leave…
Cooper to me is still a ? He can make more money next year at Duke then the nba (I know I know 2nd contract and all) but he could make a LOT more at Duke if Duke decided to throw it all at him. Add in his momma signed an endorsement deal earlier this month it all makes you at least wonder.

It feels like Duke has slow played after season announcements for at least the last 5-7 years. I understand wanting to allow each player their ‘moment’ but in the age of the portal/roster turnover I am not sure that is the best thing for Duke.
Even though the season ended crappy this years team brought so much positive momentum to Jon and the program as a whole. Obviously I’m not aware of what’s going on in the background but it does feels that the positive momentum has been a bit wasted. Time will tell

Why do we assume Foster is the only guy returning? Is it already expected that everyone announce their intentions regardless? Isn't the default still that a guy is coming back aside from the obvious, like Coop and Mal being gone?
To me, Pat, Harris, Malik are all back too. That with foster and 75% Isaiah. . That’s 8 guys we need 3 portal dudes!
