3 game sweep, staff gave up 1 run
The Judge only has 2 hits, but they are both dingers
Great start to the season

Yeah, that ticked me off, even though I have Netflix.NETFLIX? smdh
Aaron is definitely back to chasing breaking balls.Looks like Judge is trying to set the strikeout record.
After he said he had fixed that part of his swing. lolAaron is definitely back to chasing breaking balls.
Agree. And the media questioned him over it in the postgame.I hate to nit pick so early in the season but Boone's use of the pen always chaps me. Doval only threw 2 pitches in the 8th inning. Why not bring him back in the 9th instead of using the weakest link in the pen, Blackburn, and why not use Blackburn earlier instead of using good relievers for a few batters in the middle innings? Boone's response after the game when asked was that he didn't want to extend Doval. ???? We had a day off yesterday and have another in 3 days. Stop over thinking. I hate staying up late to see Boone over think and blow a game in the botoem of the 9th. I could have used those couple hours of sleep. lol
And I'll be glad when our bats heat up. Anemic offnese so far.
It was hilarious. So, the Belli catch today
both a “holy **** wow” and “lol” at the same time
The kind of moment only baseball can provideIt was hilarious.
And a big hit in the 8th that probably won the game. Only his power got that grounder through the infield for 2 RBI.Stanton…STANTON…stole a base tonight. LOL
I was worried about the pen before the season and remain concerned now. Both losses so far are on the pen. With the fact that the Yanks are going to have about 8 starters when Cole gets back (and with Schmidt still to come as well), you have to expect an arm or two to get shuffled to the pen in June and/or perhaps a trade of a starter for pen helpI am sorry but I am not on this bandwagon that a lot of fans are that we have this outstanding pen. Cashman and Hal duped the fans because they could not make any decent deals to shore up the pen so we basically have the same pen as last year and they promote them with a slogan saying, "Let's run it back". It's basically the same pen as last year without Weaver and the chump closer that sucked. This is not a decent bullpen. To have 5 relievers come into the same game at home and each give up a run is not acceptable. And this time of year pitching is supposed to be ahead of hitting. So what does that tell you? These relievers we have are one batter relievers being asked to pitch an inning or more. That's the stupid Yankees way now. It's demeaning to the Yankees fans. Let's run it back? Yep. It's the same **** out of the pen as last year. Bednar is going to be buened out by the end of May.

My preseason concerns about the pen are starting to look valid to me. Against better competition they have not been good. It's early but we'll see how it plays out. It's early. 8th inning and closers can't be loading the bases every outing.
Yes, getting our starters back and having a lot to choose from is going to be a big plus. Ive lays felt they should make Gil a closer because he struggles just the 2nd time through a lineup, but that's just my thinking.I was worried about the pen before the season and remain concerned now. Weathers and Gil both have the stuff for 1 inning roles in the pen, especially Weathers as he is a lefty. There’s just not a ton of lefties coming out of the pen throwing 99 with wipeout breaking stuff like there are righties. Whether they can make that transition is a different story. But we all know that focusing on two pitches (with one of them being 99/100 mph gas) can be a helluva lot easier than keeping three of four pitches strong over 6 innings or so
I don't think McMahon's great defense justifies his automatic outs at the plate. You need some power out of 3rd base. Wells has disappointed at the plate so far but he handles the pitchers really well and Jazz has always been streaky like Stanton.Recall that I was agog at the Yankees running Ryan McMahon back at 3B. Dude let the majors in strikeout rate last year, and it's even higher this year
Caballero and Wells are both god-awful, as is Chisholm.
