Everyone just relax. The refs aren't screwing us, but it's okay to be a little pissed when one of our guys gets stomped on and a ref doesn't blink.

Reading comprehension is a useful skill. I said they have nothing to do with why we are losing. Shooting 11/50 would be a big reason for that, and a general lack of hustle and interest. Doesn't mean the refs aren't also screwing us. Couldn't care less about number of fouls or free throws shot. Free throws should be about twice as many, but the Fernando tackle and subsequent T on Miles for having the audacity to complain about it pretty much epitomize this game from an officiating standpoint
Borchardt fouls out on the cleanest block you're ever gonna see. Again, not screwing us. They just suck.

What exact hole am I digging? I literally flat out said in my first post that it had nothing to do with why we're losing, and then you act like I'm blaming the refs for this game. You're clueless and apparently can't see the distinction. We played terrible, the refs were also terrible, and one sided. It had nothing to do with us losing, still doesn't mean the refs weren't awful
i don’t bet on sports, but I should have put my 401K, the deed to my house and the titles to my vehicles down on Maryland +2.5.
But they were not one sided, the foul totals show that. Which for some reason you don't care about.

I once heard Tim Jankovich say that if you just roll the ball out and let them play, college kids will score 70 ppg, if you are scoring less than that, your offense is just getting in the way. Well......
I don't have a beef with you. I didn't even watch the game very closely, but not scoring for 12 minutes is going to sink a team more times than not.
I’ve made a killing the last few weeks betting against NU/Miles. Unfortunatly I thought we would win tonight. Not sure why. Never again though. This team and more importantly Miles is done for.

Totally agree, which is why I said the refs had nothing to do with us losing. They were awful and one-sided, but terrible shooting and rebounding and just about everything else sunk the team in this game.
I thought the exact same thing. I thought Maryland was a tad bit overrated and the Huskers were due for a good game. But each game has brought a new season low for futility that I never imagined possible for a team with this much experience.
After all of the lofty expectations this year, Miles has completely **** the bed, and this season is going to be one of the most forgettable seasons in...well...a couple years at most.
It's a shame; we get a couple bounces and a couple calls and we break 50.
Then you switch over and watch McDermott slow down the game vs Nova while heavily shorthanded. COACHING!!!!!!
They may only be the fourth best team in Lincoln behind Lincoln Pius X and Lincoln East as well.
