No Io_a for me I am in the thriving community of Kalamazoo this weekend for dog shows. Will watch the game in a brew pub.

People who are predicting an Iowa blowout are probably guessing that our OL gets completely outplayed which basically ruins our offense. And that Stanley and the Iowa offense (their TEs especially) have a big day against our secondary.

I find it hard to believe there's any other obvious scenario that would lead to a big Iowa beatdown on us.

This game is very simple: if our OL keeps Epenesa/Nelson/Hesse away from CT, and our defensive coverage is reasonably good, we can get Iowa into a 3-6 point game that's winnable.

If the opposite? Iowa crushes us.
Don’t see a blowout either way. If we get waxed it will really kill our national perception even further.

I don't see it either. More I've thought about the game this week, the more confident I am we can make a game of it and have chances to win late.

Even if they do get pressure on CT, their coverage isn't as blanketing as ND's; there will be options to move the ball down field.

I expect Bowser to have a huge day, and our defense should be capable of holding Iowa's offense in relative check (even a bit depleted).

We have been too erratic this year. Almost beating teams we shouldn't, beating teams we weren't expected to, beating teams who already had us beat, and losing to teams we shouldn't, the latter being what I believe will happen this week, because when it really comes down to it we can't beat the teams we really need to, even though we may be capable.

Erratic means we could be really good tomorrow. Nice picture of the season there.

I don't know that we get crushed, but the last two times we faced as dominant a DL, our OL failed to keep them away from CT, and we lost.

They have more yards etc and 3 scores v 2, yet we hold on for W somehow.
Though you had our score correct, and only missed the final maegin due to a doink, so I am thinking this was the best prediction.

Still at a loss to explain the multiple posters who had predicted a blowout win for Io__. Reverse psychology perhaps?

I'm really glad I got more confident as the week went on... and as expected Bowser was sensational.

I think I'd argue that Bowser's performance was the best game any Northwestern freshman has ever achieved (and I know we've had some good ones in the recent past like Sutton and JJ).

For Bowser to perform at that level on that stage with the division title on the line; there's no way to overrate that performance.

And against a rush D that was 5th in the NATION coming in. Even better than Michigan's...

That's why I think a rematch with Michigan would be a completely different game.

Bowser changes everything; our OL has been absolutely superb in run blocking and Bowser's been great in choosing his lanes and just pounding for yardage or slipping by defenders.

We barely had a rushing attack last time we played Michigan. He can be the difference.
