BKO......Wear you lucky T shirt under what you are wearing to the wedding. Put a beer and your UK blanket in the car.
While you listen in the car have your beer while holding the blanket. That should be enough MOJO to get us through.

Weddings planned for this month should have a specific smartphone section. Maybe you could go to the crying baby room.

so - hubby just gave me this bit of intelligence from the wedding party:

turns out the majority are UK fans (the bride and groom aren't, but nm about that now). He is certain SOMEONE will have a tv/tablet for me to watch the game. I am having older son load all my stuff into the trunk. Can't quite wear my UK shirt under my outfit, but will have it with me, at least.

The beer is problematical - but will manage something.

Thanks for all the comments - too funny and made my day.

Love y'all!!!

had a buddy go to a wedding the day of the Duke-UK game when Laettner hit the shot. He said at the reception everybody was gathered around the TV watching the game and not paying any attention to the bride and groom. He said she was crying and upset and when he hit the shot he said the reception emptied out fairly quickly. Needless to say in Kentucky weddings aren't as important as basketball

I recommend you immediately file for divorce, and blair out Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" as he leaves your life in shame and some 22 year old UK student takes his place whose life revolves around UK sports.

This is your own one shining moment OP, and when its done, win or lose, you always did your best cause inside you knew...

The choice is yours, choose wisely.
If the picture is of the OP very nice, let me guess, you are a 22 year old UK student whose life revolves around UK sports.

For years I refereed four youth football games most Saturdays during football season, recording the UK games and avoiding all contact with sources of the score until I got home, just like watching it live. The best of both worlds, I have always enjoyed being on the field more than watching someone else play, played football and softball in leagues into my forties. But I wasn't around other UK fans and if you can watch it you better try------but if someone tries to interrupt the game don't smack them, they probably don't know what they are doing.

Ask for a divorce and then tell him you reconsidered after the game , I don't see the problem .

"I won't be wearing my lucky t-shirt, nor drinking my lucky beer".

Drink one before you go and wear your lucky shirt as underwear baby....No mojo allowed during tournament.

I may have to sit in the car to listen to the game

So - let me apologize in advance if there are any mojo issues: I won't be wearing my lucky tshirt, nor drinking my lucky beer. I won't have my UK blanket, or my Teddy-Cat. I'll be wearing blue and white to this wedding at least. And yes I will DVR the game.

Definitely not a happy camper
Depending on how the game goes...you may have to do this for the next couple of weekends....

Is now a very Happy Camper!

Got to watch the game, woohoo! Granted, it was on a smart phone - loaned to me by one of the groomsme-, and I was watching the end of the game sitting in my seat while the bridesmaids were walking up the aisle. The final buzzer sounded just as they opened the doors for the bride! Talk about timing

Of all the reasons to never get married in the first place, this one tops the list. Take note you young whippersnappers.
