The point of my post was
NOT to make a strong case for his ability to contribute, although I think he can. Clearly, he is a role, back-up player.
He is a Kentucky kid and staying four (4) years and graduating from UK would be an extreme rarity in these times, especially now with the portal.
I think boosters, alumni and fans, especially those in his home area, will greatly remember and appreciate him for that.
Thus, staying the course and fulfilling his commitment to the school and program will greatly increase his chances for a successful life after school if he plans on living here in the
State, especially back home in
Eastern Kentucky. He would join Henry Farmer, Rudy Yessin, Wah Wah Jones and Dickie Parsons as favorite UK sons from
Harlan County, along with Cawood Ledford (Centre graduate, but long-time UK announcer), of course.
The most recent scholarship Kentucky kids who have stayed all four (4) years are both from the 2016-17 team:
