I imagine our halftime pep talk is just like the scene from "The Waterboy" when the coach asks if anyone has an idea.
flood had 27 wins in 4 years , years 2,3 and 4 he had 18 wins, no way ash could come even closeFlood didn't have less talent his first year. Not by a long shot.
We have NO money.Every single day I check to see if Ash has been fired.
And every single day I find he is still the head coach.
And that means we are 1 day further away from getting this team turned around, being semi-competitive and no longer being an utter embarrassment to the students and alumni of Rutgers University and to being a national college football laughing stock.
Ash will NOT be the Rutgers head coach next year.
Because losing is one thing. Being consistently blown out by mediocre teams is a whole different story. So why Hobbs is taking to so long to fire him is a mystery to me. His firing is inevitable.
if this is true, makes perfect senseOur stadium is built on a Lenni-Lenape burial ground. "Piscataway" translation = "Land Without Mercy." True story....
Maybe we will be the Kansas of the East?Every single day I check to see if Ash has been fired.

That’s it! We just need to get Greg Brady to return the idol so old Mr Hanalei can remove the curse ... and everything will be fine.
You guys have to stop railing on the guy.
Saban would have 3 wins at best with this roster.
You see the games, our roster is piss pour. I wouldn't them in the Patriots League for christ sake, let alone go up against Colonial. Delaware, Maine, Towson and James Madison would kick our asses right now.
Try coaching in this mess. Granted it's his fault he didn't being in anyone. But what do you guys want him to say? Let's it go
Skoolie nails it...The other problem is that Ash created such a negative vibe from day one. I always hated it when he spoke of the kids on our team so negative and you could see him that it pained him to let them play. The guys has had Martin, Hicks, Grant, Aggs, Patten, Muller, Miller, Nelson, Hamilton, Joseph, Turay, Austin, and much more and he can't find a way to win? Much less, stay in games past halftime? In the world of @MozRU
-It's a talent issue when no one on special teams is coached to fair catch a sky kick and instead let it bounce live against Maryland.
-It's a talent issue when 10 guys over pursue the football against Illinois.
-It's a talent issue when we have 10 men on the punt team and have to call timeout or when we have to call timeout coming out of a TV timeout.
-It's a talent issue that we never blitz more than 4 sometimes 5 guys.
-It's a talent issue that we decide to run press man coverage with a true freshman corner, without bringing any pressure, against OSU.
-It's a talent issue that we have run ONE trick play on special teams in 31 games under Ash...a pitiful snap to the upback that got stuffed @ Pedo St
-It's a talent issue that we repeatedly punt on 4th and 5 from the opponents 43 yardline
Yes, that all sounds like a talent issue, certainly not a coaching issue...
agree, his disdain for the kids was evident. His removal of the awards and what traditions we had speaks volumes for the type of man he is. He is the worst coach RU has ever had, dare anyone to find worse when you look at his total body of work.Skoolie nails it...The other problem is that Ash created such a negative vibe from day one. I remember a post by the Muller family sometime earlier this year...They were talking about Chris's success outside of football but you could here the undertone of how they felt he did get cheated of a real pursuit of football by the coaching after Ash got here. That was the time that I started to get very concerned,

TABOO!!That’s it! We just need to get Greg Brady to return the idol so old Mr Hanalei can remove the curse ... and everything will be fine.
I think people here are just looking for our taboo to be sent back to the cornfields of Iowa. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Exactly what I was going to say. Ash is the guy that is good at his job but isn't capable of being any more than middle management. He is the guy you hide when it is time for a sales call but is more than capable to put the whole presentation together under someone elses guidance. Some coaches are just great assistants but terrible head coaches. My friend was recruited by Fred Hill Jr when Fred was an assistant coach. He raved about how good a coach he was and how great he was working out guards. When Fred was hired here, our group thought he was a slam dunk hire. Unfortunately, Fred proved not everyone is made to be a head coach. My point is that Chris Ash seems to be a really good assistant coach but doesn't seem to have what it takes to be a Head Coach. It's a shame as he seems to have set the program even further back than when he started.
My memory may be failing me, but weren't there Native American artifacts discovered during the construction of the Route 18 bridge over the Raritan that caused construction delays (if not an actual shift in how it was constructed)?Your story sounds good, but for the record, Piscataway Township (which was much originally much larger and included everything between Woodbridge, Plainfield, and Bound Brook) was named by a group of families who settled there after fleeing the Piscataqua River region near Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where they had experienced religious intolerance from the Puritans of the nearby Mass. Bay colony.
The proprietors of the New Jersey Colony (later divided into East Jersey & West Jersey) had adopted a document called "The Concessions and Agreements" which guaranteed religious freedom to settlers.
Remains of a tavern, from the village of Raritan Landing, was found during the stadium expansion, but no indian burials have been found.
Could be.My memory may be failing me, but weren't there Native American artifacts discovered during the construction of the Route 18 bridge over the Raritan that caused construction delays (if not an actual shift in how it was constructed)?
That’s where as an AD you single all of the friends he has working for him as coaches and tell him that they have to go, hoping it drives a confrontation that ends with a negotiated settlement less than what you contractually owe him, and maybe you save a few million without wasting another season by keeping him around.Maybe at this point Ash is hoping he just gets bought out? Any reasonable person, going through something that just isn't working out, has to be contemplating?
It may just be that, then. I only remembered they found artifacts and assumed they were Native American.Could be.
I recall they found artifacts from the Raritan Landing settlement, not native american items.
maybe it was just discarded mail from Elizabeth Warren? It may just be that, then. I only remembered they found artifacts and assumed they were Native American.
