Cal has vacated ffs. The rest have allegations I mean sean Miller was just hired at xavier. This is real simple. Cal needs to go now and his replacement needs to be pitino. He’s the best coach in the country when it comes to development of players. He would get big time recruits at UK and he could once again revive the program. The guy wouldn’t be around any longer than 5 years which is perfect bc he’d win a title AND the biggest benefit is our long term future bc pitino has a long list of former coaches he could bring in to replace him. He would unify the players from our past his tenure to cal. Pitino and UK historically was one of the most potent coaching program matches. He would go hard for 5 years then turn the program over to continuity. Some people will laugh, some will cry with joy. I hated pitino in Louisville but not once while at UK did I have the disdain I have for our current coach. It may be tough at first but if we’re serious about returning to prominence this guy is the way to go. Hell pitino in 5 years would probably be a choice ad for us. I don’t know who to tell to make it happen bc Barney is loving the damage he’s done to the program tricking uk fans into pulling for rifle and volleyball.

Cal received notes from the NCAA basically stating they viewed him as a victim. Not surprised though you'd want a coach that basically oversaw use of underage hookers as recruiting bait.

His name is hanging in Rupp Arena so the administration must think highly of him and a lot of UK fans do to.

He is perfect. He already knows the program and demands so that eliminates a 2 year curve. Plus he has 5 good years left so we don’t have to worry about someone settling in and making the program his own instead of BBNs. pLUS as I laid out perfectly a pitino protege is going to be a good coach in the future. It address short run mid term and long run. UK isn’t the place to 20 year coaches. We have the best program in the country we don’t need a builder who thinks it belongs to them after a few years the way cal has done. We have 8 titles with 5 coaches. Pitino is the perfect fit let the past be the past. You can’t change it

Well, according to some Pitino is the greatest recruiter/coach that ever lived so I'm sure he could find some good shooters. He could also find them a hooker that could give them a nice evening of pleasure if they shoot well from the free throw line.

LOL, don't forget however that the thought at one time was any male/female activity could weaken the male to the point that physical performance could be affected therefore prior to a game, bout, etc separation of the sexes was strongly recommended.

As for pitino he’s probably the best coach in cbb if you remove the baggage. My point there was every coach has baggage.
I think he'd come back in a second in hopes of winning big and getting that ego boost. He already thinks he was bigger than UK itself and that would only confirm it in his eyes. After all, this place was "Camelot" to him.
Was Pitino a great developer of players at UK, or did he just train players to be better in his system? Did his "development" of guys play out in the NBA? I'm not sure a lot of NBA front offices/analyst thought that.
