The fact that Nick is putting up these type of numbers (25/14/4) and practically zero offensive sets go through him on the post is unbelievable. Quickley/Maxey don't look into the post whatsoever...Cal has to get Nick more shots as he is shooting 67% from the floor for the year. The 3 guards were 11 - 33 from the field.

I don't think posting him up on the block is his game. He is not a pj or Reid. You will not get much feeding him like that. He plays well in pick and roll along with some weak side lobs. Runs the floor and has a good mid range jumper with pick and pop.

He is playing exactly how he should.

He's having a great year so far. Very proud of all the hard work Nick put in. He deserves very high praise on this board. A lot of you wrote him off.

in spite of “writing him off” I always said he’ll have a chance to prove me wrong. And boy is he doing just that.

Nick has a great jump hook off his left shoulder...when Nick has a height advantage like he did at Arkansas, he can score at a high clip or get to the free throw line. Go back to Arkansas game after Cal was tossed, he was screaming at Hagans to get him the ball on the block in a tight game and he hit all 4 free throws after getting fouled. Also, run pick and roll at the top of the key and let him run to the rim - UK didn't run that either. The offensive sets the last 10 minutes in the 2nd half was all 1 on 1 by our guards who shot 11-33 from field.

May be playing his way into 1st Round.

You know it is funny and people can blast away if they want but he has more upside than Willie had coming out of college.

Nick can shoot the ball....like really good. His form is excellent and he has pretty good range for a big. He is long and fast and big.

To me he may play himself into lottery.

I go way back since I’m 57 and have followed the Cats and college basketball in general for roughly 50 years. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a player improve more in one year than Nick has. He’s not even close to the same player. It’s a tribute to the work he’s put in, his mental toughness, and the coaching staff. Congrats big guy!

Between Nick Richards this year and PJ Washington last, boy oh boy do we have a couple case studies to prove that leaving as soon as possible isn’t always the best idea.
Unfortunately, far too many in their shoes don’t have the patience, work ethic, or support system (family and “associates”) to allow them to follow PJ, WCS, and Nick’s example.

Nick has to start hopping into first round of NBA draft...

Guys in some mock first rounds that are no way better NBA prospects than Nick.
1. Ashton...love him but he's not a better prospect now than Nick
2. Nwora from UL...Nope
3. Precious Uchuiawa from Memphis....Nope
4. Is Jalem Smith at Maryland a better big than Nick?
5. Here is a biggie...Does Vernon Carey have a better NBA upside than Nick? He doesn't not play above the rim IMO and looks alot more like a less skilled version of Okafor to me.'

There are the bevy of overseas players that you can't compare as we never see them play.

Nick has arrived, dude is a monster underneath and loves the pressure and comes through when we need him. I really didn't think it was going to happen but it did and I love his game. Did anyone noticed he was fired up on the and one late in the game and just raised his arms at the crowd and the ref told him to cool it. It's alright for other teams to celebrate some but more time than not an official will say something to our players.
