That’s a great idea. Florida is starting to produce some serious talent. I’m sure PSU would receive a good bit of recruiting love for putting on a show in Orlando. Cornell? Iowa State?

A dual between us and the highest ranked non PSU guy in the nation at each weight. A prelude to nationals. Or us vs. the Japanese national team, the Russian national team and the Iranian national team. Yeah I know they don't wrestle folkstyle but still it's about trying to find competition and right now there isn't a team in the U.S. that can challenge us.

Gene Wettstone (great Gymnastics coach mid-century) used to bring in International teams to Rec Hall in the 60’s. These were exciting affairs and added a unique twist to the season. The gymnasts were particularly excited to go up against international stars. Bringing in Japanese stars in 2026-27 would require a good bit of rule amendments, but, we got the guy to figure that out - Ono!

Heavyweight really does clear out this coming season. Given his height, how much "good" weight could Cole reasonably add this offseason? 10, 15, 20? I'm sure it's been discussed previously but what do people think? What is realistic?

I’ll be really surprised if Cole puts on more than 5-6.

Weighed around 210, maybe a few pounds heavier when he got here. He has put weight on. He will continue to add weight. It just won't be be 10 plus pounds a year.
