Next year's QB Depth chart is out!!!

How is he ever really going to play after this open heart surgery? I am not even close to a doctor, but every time anybody talks about this guy it sounds like "he had open heart surgery so...(funeral nodding, relegated to not being ever to actually ever play, shhhh)."

I hope he's OK, but that's about all it's probably going to be if that.

Just can't stockpile or develop talent anymore with NIL and transfer rules. Kids want to play; they don't necessarily want to play for certain schools anymore - want money and opportunity.

Once you become portal dependent it is difficult to get away. Penn State is desperate for elite playmakers at virtually every position group. The elite players in the portal want the most money and a chance at a ring. PSU will need to over pay for play makers.

Every coach in the country that isn't contending for a playoff spot is focused on next year at this point unless they're fighting for their job

Probably $20 million needed just for the portal transformation. Of course, we don't have it so need to prioritize. If I was Campbell and am "iffy" on Manske then you need to get a QB in the portal. It sounds ridiculous given he is a half season in but his job depends on it. If he screws up and thinks Manske is the guy and then we have a 6-6 season or worse next year then that only gives him one year to dramatically turn it around and that is a tall task. Especially if Kraft is not coming up with the required NIL investment. So spend what is needed to get a really talented QB for 2027 and fill in key pieces around him like some DLinemen who are not invisible the entire game. We really need an infusion of about $20 million in NIL overall to get us over $40 million.
