They're not going to play him to give other teams exposure to him, to risk him increasing his NIL value and it would scare of portal QBs if he plays well. That move is strategic...not saying anyone has to like the strategy...but it's not "Manske sucks"

I find it hard to believe Falzone would have moved away to TE if he was THAT dude at QB…he would have been “too good.” But if he goes to QB and kills it, that would be swellZ

That’s an amazing stat. How did you know he did it 8 times and do you know if it usually worked out? Where did you find those figures?

You missed the point. If the coaching staff felt that Manske gave them a better chance to win, he'd be the QB. Unlike fans, coaches will not punt on a season with 5 very winnable games to play. Campbell is playing for wins, in games, and on the 2027 roster. Losing is a disease and could result in cornerstone players moving on from PSU. Keeping Rapp, Cousins, Howard and several others is a daily chore. You've got to recruit every day in your own locker-room. Giving up is not the answer. Fans need to consider that perhaps Manske is not ready. Perhaps Manske has convinced the coaches that he is not the future. It's something to ponder as a reason (among others) we have not seen him.
If we see him for a series here and there, it means he isn't "ready" but the coaches can put him in limited duty to get experience with scripted play calls. If he stays glued to the bench, PSU will need to drop north of 2 million for a QB in the portal.

Backup QB to be named later will be the better QB next year when people finally realize that this roster is more than a 1 year fix...portal or not. TBD Backup QB is usually the best player on any squad and this PSU is so rich in talent, it just lacks a HC making a QB change and they are probably a top 10 team. Incredible RB and DL rooms...probably the best in the Colonial league.

If you think the QB depth is bad, take a look at the depth chart for Linebackers and defensive ends. They are worse than the QB position. The running back room is another dumpster fire. This program is in deep trouble.

It's just so hard to understand. They returned 4 starters and their K from a team that struggled to get to 7-6 last year. Then they fired their HC lost most of that team to graduation and the portal.....and filled it with mid level B12 players (a few exceptions).....and yet they struggled? I mean if that isn't the recipe for success, I'm not sure what is.

Too bad he doesn’t. Had season tickets since 1978 and sat in row 57 of the north end zone. Saw a lot of great quarterbacks, including Marino, Flutie, Esiason, etc but none of them were as good as Collins in 1994.
