I can't tell you what I know but it will be earth shattering. LOL you morons buy the **** he peddles, even though he does not specify what the **** is. LOL.

Competent like Biden and the guy who wore a full face shield to protect himself from Covid? If we had a competent President and Sec. of Defense the war would have ended in several weeks and all for the good. Unfortunately we have this clown show and I don't believe they have the smarts to win this war. They will capitulate much like they are urging Ukraine to do. Difference being is that Trump will declare victory and MAGA like BigWill agrees.
LOL. Yep, thank you. I now recall saying “to the Democracy for which it stands” every day.Anytime I see a fool correct that the US is a Republic and not a Democracy I immediately understand that they are goofs that believe they know more than they do and they take their clues from RW crap sites, and never studied politics or government. The US as every other democracy is a Democratic Republic. A democracy as we elect our leaders and government, and a republic as those elected leaders vote on the specific laws or bills. A true democracy has every citizen vote directly for every bill or law. That maybe existed in ancient Greece but not since then it is not possible where there are more than a few hundred people.
The war on Iran has NO successes, continues with no end in sight and is a huge waste of $$, yet you support it.![]()

Don’t forget the incompetent of all incompetents. General Milley. Milli Vanilli could do a better impersonation of a good General.Competent like Biden and the guy who wore a full face shield to protect himself from Covid?
They ended Afghanistan “competently” by guy getting 13 Marines killed (18 in Iran so far), countless civilian dead, and left tens of billions of gear for the Taliban. I am really glad that you find Trump/Hegseth incompetent since your definition of competent is Biden/Austin!
Dumbcoach is so ******* dumb that he doesn’t realize the accounts he copy/pastes are getting paid to post this hyper partisan slop too. Dumbcoach is so ******* dumb.
Unfortunately, it’s very believable.
More of Brian Fitzpatrick showing off his sh** for brains.
The post was on the Iran war geniusIt started in 2022. If it could have been ended in several weeks, then a significant amount of blame falls on the prior administration.
I'm not real high on Somali immigrants either, for a variety of reasons. In fact, while the US can assimilate almost any group, this is one that will probably take a long, long time (though the population numbers even in MN aren't that high).
But why do these stories so fixate you? Generally curious.
Because I constantly see stories of violent criminals released to go commit more violent crime. Because I see how this can quickly turn into chaos, unnecessarily.
You understand that most violent crime is committed by the same small % of individuals. Seeing them released with little penalty bothers me. It should bother everyone.
It’s not just Somalis or Venezuelans where this is true. Last week a repeat criminal stabbed a 2 year old in Rhode Island. A young girl was stabbed by a repeat criminal in Chicago. It’s all easily preventable.
You care about the polls, I don’t. I care about common sense penalties for criminals, apparently not as important to you. That’s fine, I don’t give you a hard time for fixating on polls.
Not sure you should have drawn conclusions you did about what I do and don't care about. But I'm certainly not here to disagree that the system does not always make the best decisions regarding violent offenders. My basic point would be that the failings involving immigrants with the justice system tend to be magnified considerably among the native born, as we the native born commit more crimes than immigrants due mostly to raw numbers and some level of a higher rates of criminality. As you mentioned, these stories are much more common among "real Americans," they just aren't highlighted.
That said, crime in America is a bit more fascinating to me because (a) we actually tend to be on the high side for punishment (not the low side) and (b) we have a fair bit more crime than peer nations, at least the most violent types of crimes. I think a lot of this has to do with American history and culture, particularly because rampant individuality has both upsides and downsides. America's higher per capita incomes and its higher levels of violent crimes are likely both linked to this.
All of this doesn't excuse individuals from being responsible for their own actions. They are, full stop. But why the US has a higher level of violent crime than peer nations is pretty interesting.
Separately, the bail situation is a complicated question. I personally believe in "no bail" where appropriate, but there's a pretty decent intellectual argument against that in an "innocent until proven guilty" as a Constitutional right country.
It's probably fair to say this stuff takes up more space in my head than it needs to. I just see us going down a bad path in this country, and few appear like they want to do anything about it. IMO, we are getting softer on crime, especially in Dem controlled areas. And people are just asked to ignore it. That's what happened here when we imported 40k Venezuelans. It was pretty obvious what was happening, but people were asked to ignore it. Individuals committed violent crimes, and were immediately released. ICE detainers were (and still are) ignored. That shouldn't happen in the USA.
Somali fraud and violence is apparent, and again, we are asked to ignore it. Talking about it is worse than the actual crime that is happening. That's crazy to me.
It's absolutely a problem with American citizens too. Violent criminals are regularly found unfit for trial, or just released with the hope they will actually return for their court date. Hope is not a plan. I think the USA is the best place on Earth, and I don't like to see common sense passed over for empathy for the criminals. I fear that it will only continue if Dems get back in power. The borders will open up again, and we will once again be told that talking about the problems are worse than the problems themselves.
I understand the "innocent until proven guilty" argument. But often, there is almost no doubt about the guilt. We still let those people out until they actually murder someone. That does not seem compassionate to me, and I think this a topic we should all be talking about. Again, that goes for citizens and non-citizens.

I agree with a lot of these, but don't agree with the fatalism. Rates of crime are falling in the United States, probably getting down to levels we haven't seen since the 1950s (which is before we kept good statistics on things).
The conservative media does a good job of highlighting the failures, which are more common in lefty jurisdictions. However, I don't think they are new, at all. Every system of justice has flaws, and the volume of crime in the USA will mean too many failures.
Very few people are actually found unfit for trial btw. But it generates excitement when that happens. (And most of that is a function of simply no longer having insane asylums, which as you know causes real public disorder issues, but frankly isn't a huge source of the crime we are discussing.)
Any which way, it is appreciated to see how you desire to approach these discussions with reason and openness. It explains a lot.
