This is what they’ve got. A made up story and complaints about TikTok. The article is about both candidates being regular features of TikTok user videos, clearly funded by third party groups.

Desperation is running high!

If we had a competent President and Sec. of Defense the war would have ended in several weeks and all for the good. Unfortunately we have this clown show and I don't believe they have the smarts to win this war. They will capitulate much like they are urging Ukraine to do. Difference being is that Trump will declare victory and MAGA like BigWill agrees.
Competent like Biden and the guy who wore a full face shield to protect himself from Covid?

They ended Afghanistan “competently” by guy getting 13 Marines killed (18 in Iran so far), countless civilian dead, and left tens of billions of gear for the Taliban. I am really glad that you find Trump/Hegseth incompetent since your definition of competent is Biden/Austin!

Anytime I see a fool correct that the US is a Republic and not a Democracy I immediately understand that they are goofs that believe they know more than they do and they take their clues from RW crap sites, and never studied politics or government. The US as every other democracy is a Democratic Republic. A democracy as we elect our leaders and government, and a republic as those elected leaders vote on the specific laws or bills. A true democracy has every citizen vote directly for every bill or law. That maybe existed in ancient Greece but not since then it is not possible where there are more than a few hundred people.
LOL. Yep, thank you. I now recall saying “to the Democracy for which it stands” every day.

Well, with an ignorant lawyer like you leading the charge, Ben Franklin’s fears have been realized and we are on the precipice - with only Donald J. Trump and MAGA holding the line against your communist party.

It started in 2022. If it could have been ended in several weeks, then a significant amount of blame falls on the prior administration.

Don’t forget the incompetent of all incompetents. General Milley. Milli Vanilli could do a better impersonation of a good General.

Dumbcoach is so ******* dumb that he doesn’t realize the accounts he copy/pastes are getting paid to post this hyper partisan slop too. Dumbcoach is so ******* dumb.

That was the entire article lol, they were implying influencers on both sides are weighing in on this race for reasons that don't seem like to be grounded in incredible concern for the outcome.

In fairness, Benny Johnson does care, because idiots like him driving the GOP into the ground is going to impact his future earning capacity, as they'll be correctly blamed as being part of electoral disaster.

Dumbcoach just posted Catturd, Nancy Mace, and Gunther Eagleman rapid fire just moments after complaining about paid influencers. 🤣

Dumbcoach might just be a LLM bot at this point. Nobody is this stupid in real life.

Unfortunately, it’s very believable.

I'm not real high on Somali immigrants either, for a variety of reasons. In fact, while the US can assimilate almost any group, this is one that will probably take a long, long time (though the population numbers even in MN aren't that high).

But why do these stories so fixate you? Generally curious.

Because I constantly see stories of violent criminals released to go commit more violent crime. Because I see how this can quickly turn into chaos, unnecessarily.

You understand that most violent crime is committed by the same small % of individuals. Seeing them released with little penalty bothers me. It should bother everyone.

It’s not just Somalis or Venezuelans where this is true. Last week a repeat criminal stabbed a 2 year old in Rhode Island. A young girl was stabbed by a repeat criminal in Chicago. It’s all easily preventable.

You care about the polls, I don’t. I care about common sense penalties for criminals, apparently not as important to you. That’s fine, I don’t give you a hard time for fixating on polls.

I want to talk about something else. As the "James Talarico received mental health treatment in Ohio" argument collapses, where do we go on the right after the pending electoral disaster. I was told Trump 2 was going to establish right wing dominance in the country, but all I see is ascendant Dems and a very hostile 2028 landscape with the most likely nominee being an atrocious candidate who is profoundly dislikable personally.

Are any lessons going to be learned? Does electability matter? Is the hope simply that Dems will return the favor by being too far to the left?

Not sure you should have drawn conclusions you did about what I do and don't care about. But I'm certainly not here to disagree that the system does not always make the best decisions regarding violent offenders. My basic point would be that the failings involving immigrants with the justice system tend to be magnified considerably among the native born, as we the native born commit more crimes than immigrants due mostly to raw numbers and some level of a higher rates of criminality. As you mentioned, these stories are much more common among "real Americans," they just aren't highlighted.

That said, crime in America is a bit more fascinating to me because (a) we actually tend to be on the high side for punishment (not the low side) and (b) we have a fair bit more crime than peer nations, at least the most violent types of crimes. I think a lot of this has to do with American history and culture, particularly because rampant individuality has both upsides and downsides. America's higher per capita incomes and its higher levels of violent crimes are likely both linked to this.

All of this doesn't excuse individuals from being responsible for their own actions. They are, full stop. But why the US has a higher level of violent crime than peer nations is pretty interesting.

Separately, the bail situation is a complicated question. I personally believe in "no bail" where appropriate, but there's a pretty decent intellectual argument against that in an "innocent until proven guilty" as a Constitutional right country.

And the guy you voted for in the primary runoff is going to lose to him, in part because the guy you were desperate to put in the Oval Office and in part because your runoff candidate is just that bad.

Instead of worrying so much about Talarico, you should be asking yourself why you participated in this happening.

I'm not terribly big on overdoing the "how did you personally vote" assessment, but Republican voters invited this farking disaster for years, and now it's here.
