They were the same color Rutgers has always been before the salmon unis. The same color as the TKR banner above every thread.
New Rutgers football jerseys just released. Hot off the press, no numbers will be shown as that could hurt peoples feelings if they don't get the number they want . Players can pick any color pants they want so they can express their inner personality.
The difference is light. Indoor game on top outdoor game on bottom. There was no change in color since I played in the 80s to the Nike salmon2006 Red

Well that explains why the red helmet is with the white and the white helmet is with the red uniform. Somebody just put the uniforms on the wrong side. The just need to switch helmets.So basically they replaced the Nike logo with an Adidas logo?

Black isn't an official color for many school yet most have it in there somewhere.
The 2006 is by far the classiest and big boy uniform we ever had. Come 2008 and the bubble letters, our program was beginning to fail off the rails.

The people arguing don’t care about anything before 2006 since according to them, that’s the end all be all. Look at 1961 or 1976. Best years for the program had stripesOld School:

I used to agree with the whole "go back to 2006" thing. But honestly, its not good anymore. It looks like a high school jersey. Generic block font letters and numbers don't cut it anymore. It looks as out of place is uniforms from the 50's at this point.
Looks good to me.
Love the old Meadowlands Marco Jerseys. Thought 2006 was way too busy and that putting Rutgers on the Jersey was odd. Usually the 2nd best team in the State trying to differentiate, i. e., Texas A&M, Michigan State, Mississippi State, etc, do that. We are New Jersey’s primary university. No need for Rutgers on it. Act big time.
That’s what I said in another thread on this topic.
We are beyond the need to spell out RUTGERS or IMO even needing the R on the top or legs. Maybe for the black uniform if we’re using the Knighthead instead of the R.
Everybody knows who the team is with the red helmets and the Block R on them.
