Agreed. If you can't get excited about (and I'm paraphrasing) a school named after the inventor of the cheese doodle, taking on a school located on the same block as the best ranch dressing on the west side...at 3:30 on a Thursday? You haven't got a pulse baby!!!
Who were the two teams that went down? Curie and Lincoln Park were winless right? Had to be them?
If they go down and conference winners are up it should be Amundsen and Payton coming back up.
That should give you:
Morgan Park, Kenwood, Simeon, Hubbard, Perspectives and Payton
Phillips, Taft, Young, Lane, Westinghouse, Amundsen

I would crap about Payton not just switching up with Phillips for tighter geography, but Phillips is technically the neighborhood high school of Printers Row, South Loop and Chinatown. Or just add Phillips to the Prairie State and invite Elmwood Park and Ridgewood to the more north side division.
That’s more about competitive balance. Top 5 teams in the city are Phillips, Kenwood, Simeon, Taft and Morgan Park. Have to split those 5 up unless there’s just one top tier conference. If that’s on the table I’d pay for the PPV of that meeting with Jaton, so sign me up. Big Boy CPL action!!
I miss the days of teams refusing to move up to the Illini and then getting torched on the cpsblog.

Just got off the phone with a friend, says he hasn’t gotten the new divisions but is hearing Clark had the option to move up but chose to stay out of the top conferences.

I just saw a Sun Times article that said perspectives and lincoln park moved down and Brooks and Michelle Clark got promoted.
