Rockne was a mud-bowl paradise for WB in the playoffs this past season. 44-0 over Young. But it seemed like the last renovation there would have been when it’s namesake was coaching the Four Horsemen. Still can’t understand why Young wanted to play at Rockne when the rain was a certainty. Hanson would have been the better choice for sure. I look forward to seeing the new facility.
Rockne has the best public restrooms of any CPS Stadium, and it's not even close. Rockne also has those two fenced areas on either side of the visitor stands that have vintage trucks and other vintage equipment rusting away in the 3 ft grass. Looking for Jimmy Hoffa? Most likely buried there. Also, the Steak N Egger is across the street. I challenge you to find a better Corned Beef Hash in the city before a 9am Saturday Start.
Disagree. Great field. Young made the correct choice. Willowbrook has a nice field. Coached there last year in a rainstorm.....but nothing beats a night out at Rocken....You can get good eats, and good Thursday night action, plus for Willowbrook, it's closer than going to WY and sitting in traffic.....
You think it’s better than the one bathroom that still works at Lane?
Couldn’t use the locker rooms at Hanson, those things would have been underwater with all that rain!
When I was 10, I used to climb the fence to get into Shewbridge Field at 74th & Morgan. I liked the climbing so much that once, when the game was over, I climbed the same fence to get back out and caught my hand on the barbed wire. I never said I was bright.

I had a cousin who went to Fenger and her brothers went to Mendel. Eliot Ness is probably the most famous Fenger grad.
