I find it funny that Iowa has lost 4 of their last 5 and is still ranked 15th. Of course it should not be any shock that Duke got throttled by Pitt and only dropped one spot. I also find it amusing that UNC is ranked 8th but Lunardi has them as a 1 seed in the updated bracketology.

Definitely some eye brow raisers. Teams just beating up on each other.

Duke only dropped 1 spot and we dropped 5? They were thoroughly dominated by Pitt from the opening tip. We hung with Vandy the entire game. Even led at halftime. I wonder if the idiot voters even watch the games.

Pitt - Kenpom #40
Vandy - Kenpom #23

That drop is a little heavier than I had anticipated. All that being said we are still in the convo for a 3 seed

Sad thing is, the selection committee leans on the polls for their seeding justifications. IU at #12, with its pathetic SOS of 108, RPI 27. Clear bias at work here. UK RPI at 15, SOS at 26.

Iowa is 5-6 against the top 50, UK is 7-3.

With the season melting into a quagmire of mediocrity, all the media voters have to guide them is their bias. The Big Ten is better than the SEC, therefore we'll pump them up in the polls.

I honestly think the 20-25 ranked teams would split with the 1-5 teams.
Rankings are a joke, especially right now.
Just win your tournament games and you'll be fine.

I like our chances against ANYBODY on a neutral floor with competent referees.

The only team that can fix UK's rank relative to other schools is UK.

Don't mind our spot at all. We've lost to some awful teams, and we looked like a 1 man band this past weekend.

At least 3 times this season, we have lost a game that should have put us back into the top 10. Kansas, A&M, Vandy. I think we are underrated, especially when Willis is back. Without Willis 18-22 is probably about right.

Every big 12 team is over-rated by atleast 5 spots. Iowa St. has lost 5 of 9 while 3 of those wins r against the crap of the big 12 (OSU, TCU, KSU). They lost to Tex A&M & gave up 97 & 100 points in 2 of those losses. Texas loses & moves up. That poll is awful. Their r teams in the high teens better than the top 5.

Can't complain, we blew our chances to move up several times. We lost 3-4 games we had no business losing.

To me, Louisville and SMU don't even need to be considered in this poll. They have no chance of actually doing anything substantial this year, so I don't know why they should be seen as "top 25" anything.

Just put them at #26 and #27 and leave them there.

I've been laughing my *** off for 5 minutes straight that Duke is ranked ahead of us. Oh well it really doesn't matter. Lunardi moved us up to a 3 seed, which is nice and all but the NCAA would stick us with a 5 seed if the selection were today.

I'm not worried about any team against us other than Valpo........Bleacher Report says so.

Duke is a zero threat to win the title, and UNC is 6-5 against the top 50.

There's a 1 seed there for ya.

If there was ever a year to win a title, this would be the year to sneak out with the crystal ball...the 5th best 8 loss team in America!

I don't think the selection committee leans on the ap poll at all. Heck one year little brother was ranked 4th in the country and got a 4 seed in the tourney.

I find the polls hilarious myself. Both UK and Duke have gone 2-2 over the past two weeks and duke has gone ranked from 23 to 17th while UK has stayed put after falling back to #22 this week.

Yeah, that is a big gap having UNC a 1 seed while them being ranked 8th. But, that is not nearly as big of a gap as having UK a 3 seed while being ranked 22.

WE hung with VANDY? You mean they hung with us before finally putting it away on our drought from everyone other than Murray...

that's what kills me - why do other schools get consideration when THEY lost a starting player?
We don't seem to get that

that being said - we just need to take care of business.

Wow, I didn't notice IU ranks ahead of us now. So Mr. Clap has done a better job than Cal.

If any of you for one second dont believe in a wide spread anti UK conspiracy look no further than the 7 spots that seperate a computer ranking system from a skewed agenda driven human system based on numb nut sportswriters.

For sure, all those teams losing with not that far of a drop, UK drops the most out of all them, then u have UL, who didn't drop at all, sure, they are the 11th best team in the country, lol.
