We need to get at least one of Bamba, Carter, or Ayton, or the next class is going to be a bust - I don't care who else we sign.
Cal's teams need a strong frontcourt to thrive - last year proved that, and Richards/Vanderbilt or Richards/Washington ain't going to get it - especially if Duke lands Bamba/Carter.
If Gabriel, SKJ, and Hump return, then Richards/Vanderbilt (or Washington) is enough.
Starters
G Young(6'1 FR)
G Diallo(6'5 FR)
F Gabriel(6'9 SO)
F Killeya-Jones(6'10 SO)
F Richards(6'11 FR)
Key Reserves
G Petty(6'5 FR)
F Washington(6'8 FR) or Vanderbilt(6'9 FR)
F Wynyard(6'10 SO)
F Humphries(7'0 JR)
I wouldn't be surprised to see us land Vanderbilt and Washington. There's going to be plenty of room on the roster.
Need to sign a another guard or two in that class as well.
Now if SKJ and Gabriel are both OAD, then we really do need to land Bamba, Carter, or Ayton.
I think that unless SKJ really plays beyond expectations this season, he will come back.
I also believe that we have a good chance to get Gabriel back. He is learning to play on the wing, so he may need another year before he is ready to be a NBA caliber SF.
Hump likely plays three seasons. He is very young still. He won't even be 20 until midway though his Junior year.
