I didn't watch because I was still upset that we lost to BG. How bad was it? Talk about luck though, playing you guys without Bell....
It was really moreso Purdues own miss doing. Over threw 2 5-10 yard TD passes on two separate drives. The first minny TD was the big one. Ball was rolling on the ground and was even reviewed. Saw two DT holding penalties that game. Haha never seen that before.

I was moreso giving ya some heck. Purdue just couldn't get out of their own way tbh.

Basically copying and pasting my Minnesota prediction. Nebraska has no business losing this game on paper, but they will find a way until they prove differently. Trev will be happy he's watching a wedding instead.

You thought you were gonna beat us? Clearly another pot user in Nebraska.

That's fine (about giving me heck) good natured fun on a message board. So you're saying our first TD shouldn't have counted, and you also missed out on two TDs?

Despite playing like garbage for the majority of the game and gifting Minnesota a big lead, all we had to do was sneak the dam ball from the 1 inch line and we win.

Honest question. Minnesota and Nebraska play on a neutral field 10 times. How many does Minnesota win?

Correct. Especially the first overthrow. Bell was wide open in the corner of the endzone and O'Connell sailed it on a short fade route.

I couldn't believe they didn't even review that first Minnesota TD tbh.

All 10 if SF is your coach. Ok, ok you asked for an honest answer. History would suggest that you guys probably win 7/10 under normal coaching circumstances.

at about the :23 mark CAB catches it and the ref is staring right down at him, perfect view of the catch. Looked pretty clean to me?

Edit: at the :40 second mark the male announcer is talking about "it" rolling out, so maybe there is a better angle? What do the Husker fans think? TD or no?

Probably right. But we both know normal coaching circumstances don't exist in Nebraska's program right now.

I'm predicting a Nebraska win in OT. Because, why not?

This one has it at about the 2 minute mark.

I am feeling optimistic this morning. Home game. Still a bowl shot. A real MUST win game. For all these reasons I think we will lose. But I am an eternal pessimist.

Purdue 24
NU 17
Either

A: Purdue 33 NU 27

or

B: Nebraska 38 Purdue 16

The average of the two equally likely outcomes would be NU 32 Purdue 25, since this average implies a close game within 1 score it must be incorrect and Purdue is likely to win a close game, therefore :

Purdue 27
NU 24

Personally I think the whole "No fear of Failure" is responsible for sloppy undisciplined high penalty high turnover play. I would rather go with "Train to Win" or "Focus to Win".

This one has it at about the 2 minute mark.

The Minnesota receiver had the ball secured for the touchdown....but then he rolled on the ground very quickly. Definitely NOT anything for Purdue to try to hang their hats on. The play happened on 1st-down too.

The TD throw from Morgan vs Purdue was just like a few of them vs Nebraska. I say this because some guys on here were saying Morgan got lucky on his throws in their game.

Yeah, it does look like he had it in his right hand, pressed against his hip, but did he "complete the catch" as they say?

I agree with you, Morgan wasn't lucky against Nebraska. He's usually like that. The Bowling Green game was a miserable abberation.

We are dinged up on offense. I think Purdue is wiley enough to keep it close.

It’s been entraining going back to these threads for Minnesota and seeing comments by some on how we were going to blow the gophers out and have already started seeing similar posts on Purdue. I have no idea how some folks can be so delusional about Nebraska headed by Frost.

Toss up game for me, expecting it to be close. You would think we should come out on top after a bye week, but with a Scott Frost lead Husker team, you just don’t count on anything. That said, I will go with the Huskers by 3.
I’m not making any more predictions… minnesota was embarrassing and showed me that you can’t predict the unpredictable. So I’m not even gonna try.

Nebraska outplays and outyards them, and its a tight game until last 5 minutes of the game, at which point Martinez turns the ball over on consecutive series to give Purdue the victory.

Safest bet with this team appears to be predicting a score within a touchdown of your opponent.

I was worried about the Minnesota game. It went pretty much the way I was concerned it would.

I am not worried about this one.

Purdue plays our kind of game and we will beat them. Their QB will have a decent game against us but they won’t run the ball and we will win TOP. We’ll force 1-2 turnovers and it’ll be enough.

How much we win by depends on just how much we establish the run game. I have to think we made it a priority over the bye week, especially after watching what wisconsin did. Who knows. I do know that if Nebraska does lose this game, you will see 3-4 sacks in the box score along with 2-3 turnovers and wayyy too many passes. Purdues pass rush can get home.

Nebraska 28-17.

27-22 broilers with under 5 left in the 4th and somehow am comes up with another unimaginable. scott "don't need to recruit another qb" blows another one score game while standing dejected on the sideline. am slyly heads toward the postgame interview thinking about another year to pollish his nfl resume. go big red
