More like Childress. Amazing this team has won 35 games given how shaky/bad the pitching has been. The bats have carried this team. Childress has had a great career, but his handling/building of the pitching staff this year has been beyond awful.
Poor take on this. The last time we had pitching like this, we made the CWS. It was mentioned during last night’s Creighton game. The batting avg. for opponents is around 230 if i remember correctly. I was a bit suprised as I agree some of our pitchers are not up to the task. But this is not horrible pitching from an NCAA perspective.

The 2005 Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball pitching staff held opponents to a .217 batting average during the season. Nebraska also finished second nationally in ERA at 2.41 while going 57–15 and reaching the College World Series.

This means Nebraska’s pitching staff is holding opposing lineups to well below the national D‑I average, which typically sits around .265–.275 most seasons (inference based on historical NCAA averages). (Sources chat gpt and copilot)

That was also against big 12 baseball conference that is superior to the big ten year in and year out. Apples to Oranges comparison.,our bullpen has been extremely inconsistent all year.

Team ERA is 4.74. And team batting averages are down at all levels of baseball given the emphasis on home runs and strikeouts.
The offense has carried this team. Look at walks and hit batters and you will quickly realize why our ERA is so high despite the opponent’s low team batting average. Need to find a few guys who can come in and throw strikes or the post season won’t last long.

If regionsdoc's numbers are correct compared to the 2005 team ERA, it's kind of obvious this years team pitching is nowhere near the 2005 cws team.

Yea, definitely that was a total dick move on his part and for all the loyal season ticket holders who have stuck with them when they had some crappy years.
You are clueless calling it a dick move. He is fowling standard protocols. You think Creighton season ticket holders get to keep their seats for the CWS?

What the f that you know. You ain’t a baseball season ticket owner.
Doesn’t matter. I paid general admission and wasn’t rewarded on a great season as a ticket owner. You did very well this year. Post season isn’t part of your package. You got preferred ordering. You were treated special. Something I couldn’t get. Stop insulting the department who gave you special treatment you entitled dick.

Nobody on the planet buys Creighton season tickets with the expectation of securing seats for the CWS.

Some people have regularly bought all-session CWS tickets for decades - THAT'S how they make sure they always have good seats for the CWS. NU's policy is like telling those people, "Hey thanks for buying CWS tickets all these years. But this year, Nebraska (or Creighton) made it to Omaha, so your tickets are no longer available."

As a decades-long CWS season ticket holder with primo seats, I would gladly give up my seats for any Nebraska or Creighton fan if their team makes it…..

For a price of course 😛

Kudos for supporting the CWS, and helping keep it in Omaha. How would you feel about getting a letter saying a big football donor will be getting your seats this time? And then adding - but please come back next year!!!

The go4 coach is a human rain delay. There was a 25 minute review earlier to call…. nothing. Guy comes and asks for every possible call he can think of. It’s like he’s stalling for some reason. Weird

Standard protocol is a football donor who hasn’t attended 1 baseball game gets a crack at regional baseball tickets over a baseball season ticket holder ?
Yes happens at every stadium in post season. You think season ticket holders get to keep their assigned seats when the superbowl is held in their stadium? The regular season and their tickets for the regular season are paid for and used.

So you really think that when LSU or Tennessee or North Carolina host baseball regionals, their baseball season ticket holders drop to the bottom of the priority list?

You keep giving way-off-point examples that don't make any sense.

Here's how LSU handles regional and super-regional baseball tickets. They must not have gotten the memo that this just is not done in any stadium, anywhere, ever:

In the event that LSU hosts an NCAA Regional and/or Super Regional tournament at Alex Box Stadium, season ticket holders will be given the opportunity to renew their current seats online on LSUsports.net, over the phone at 225.578.2184 or in person with one exception:

According to NCAA Guidelines, LSU is required to allocate tickets to participating schools in the seating areas between first and third base. This guideline requires LSU to relocate a number of season ticket holders in the grandstand and “gold seat” area every season. The ticket office will send a letter to all season ticket holders who need to be relocated. Relocated season ticket holders will still be able to request the same number of seats but they will be located in a different area of the stadium.

*To be fair, it took almost two minutes to find this.

Absolutely would piss me off and it’s a really strange way for the AD’s office to treat those fans who have been there rain or shine through good seasons and crap seasons. It’s a short term money grab that risks alienating your long-term supporters.

Anyone remember that cowardly Purdue coach who refused to play the final game of the season and they won the conference championship as a result. A full day of rain delays until the game was ultimately cancelled. Never mind that it never actually rained a drop all day. Still can’t believe they let that slide.

Well someone is wrong but not sure who. Just saw on btn that they said win 1 more and we're guaranteed a 4 seed but could get some help with other losses
I believe if either USC, Oregon or Purdue loses tonight, Nebraska is guaranteed a spot at 4, 3, or 2. And since USC plays Oregon, Nebraska owns a top 4 spot.

How is this apple vs. orange, exactly? We are specifically talking about how college baseball programs prioritze season ticket holders when they host NCAA regionals and Super Regionals. This says in plain black and white that at LSU, season ticket holders have priority for their regular seats, unless they have to be moved to make room for visiting fans, per NCAA requirements. And even then, they are able to request the same number of seats. I don't know how they could make it any clearer that baseball season ticket holders are given priority.

Were you expecting the website to say, "We promise we won't kick you out of your seats in favor of some fata$$ booster who hasn't been to a baseball game all year."?

You honestly believe that UCLA ( number 1 baseball) when they host a regional and super regional ( if they win) football season ticket basketball season ticket etc . Donors will get a crack at the tickets first because they give more money that the Baseball season ticket holders?
