This is Jim Nantz last game as a basketball announcer. He will continue to call golf and NFL games. 63 years old.

Since this game is most likely over, for next year I’m calling my shot, another blue blood or power will win next year.
It's been this time for the past 30+ years. And I bet the folks in San Diego like it.
This is where the tourney ends up getting hurt, upsets are cool in the first round, but when you have a team in the championship like SDSU, the championship ends up being a blowout
I will say UConn's record when they actually make the tournament and get past first weekend is ridiculous.
I'm not looking it up again but it is something like this:

- 25 seasons
- 4 Natty's (maybe 5 tonight)
-16 Missed tourney or loss in first wknd
- 4/9 (maybe 5/9) in winning titles when advancing past first wknd
- doing this w three different coaches

Unless SDSU can figure out how to move the ball without it being tapped on every pass, it's going to be a lot worse than 20 points.
This tourney has been an indictment of Cal and his mismanagement of our program.
UConn just looks to have 6 guys on the court. Very fluid.

SDSU is literally TCU from football this year, got hot by being stronger than people and outmuscling them but when it’s time to face a power in UConn of UGA they get their *** kicked
This. But it’s exactly how we knew it would go. SDSU can’t score in normal situations so expecting them to score tonight would be crazy. Unless we were their opponent then yeah they’d be hitting all these open shots. We don’t live the charmed life that UCONN does
If UConn wins tonight they will have 3 titles in the time Cal has been here and 2 of those they beat Cal and UK in the Final 4 and Championship game. Cal has NO excuse for his INCOMPETENCE compared to what UConn has done in that same time span.

Traveling for work and on eastern time, probably hit me harder than normal. I’m used to central time. 9:20 start time is crazy
Cal builds a team to fit a system instead of rolling out the ball out to his athletes and this tournament is a walk in the park.

Dan Hurley has worked some magic with this team. I have rooted like hell against UConn but they are one of best coaches teams I’ve seen in a long time.
They are as well oiled, fluid and connected on BOTH ends of the floor as you’ll ever see.
They have some good talent too but he has melded them together brilliantly.
They never look out of sorts and neither does he.

They did that I. 25 years. Not the term of cal at UK

SDSU has had success offensively when they take 'gathered' shots. Too often they have tried to push up the floor off rebounds and they would turn it over or they would take a rushed shot off the move. They aren't skilled enough to play that fast.
