You know that's actually not a bad thing...if could orchestrate that...no argument here.

In all seriousness though, have you watched the replay....did you watch CBS break those rebounds down like 10 times and talk about it. Go watch again on ESPN...do you not see where Bell just stepped in he lane? Meeks made a little move and I do agree that he DID give Bell and small arm to the back but I don't think it was a foul at all. Bell didn't make any damn effort so I don't see any reason for the ref to bail him out..do you? His contact wasn't enough to warrant a foul.

Either way I don't really care and none of us should.
Meeks would not have grabbed that board had he not pushed bell out of the way. So, yeah. That's a foul.

Post like this are as dumb as it gets. You honestly think anyone has got to the top of the coaching profession making millions of dollars a year without teaching, or emphasizing, blocking out?

News Flash! Coaches don't have X-Box controllers on the sidelines and can't control everything.

What's "dumb" on your part is to give Coach Altman a pass on the fact that either he doesn't teach blocking out properly or the player he had on the low block WOULDN'T or COULDN'T block out to get a rebound on a missed Free Throw.

That's coaching. No need for an "X-Box controller" if it is EMPHASIZED in practice or the coach has the proper player in place to get a freakin rebound on a missed free throw, the easiest rebound in a game.

You have now described the play in two completely different ways, once that Meeks slid in front of Bell, and then that the just put a body of him. Neither of these things are what actually happened. Meeks shoved him in the back, from behind, with his arm, not his body.

I know we disagree but I didn't describe the play in two ways...that's one description....he slid in front of him (with some small contact) -and then put a body on Bell and got the ball....Bell stepped into the lane and didn't box out....

Can you at least take the first step and admit he didn't box out? And the lesson here is if you don't box out then you've got zero complaint....also of note he didn't box out on Pinson either.....did Pinson foul him too?

I'm not being an *** here but you're just pissed bc UNC won (like all of us) but let's not go acting like an injustice was done. If you notice after Meeks got the rebound...what did Bell do? Nothing, didn't act like he got fouled at all...he knew what happened.

Of course I admit he didn't box out! Will you now admit that you cannot foul a person with impunity because they didn't block out?

The thing is, Meeks made a really dumb play. They aren't going the length of the court in four seconds off a missed free throw in that situation. The only way Oregon was winning was throwing up a wild long shot or getting fouled on the rebound. Meeks fouled on the rebound and the refs swallowed the whistle.

Slid in front of him. ********.

Once again...argue what you want, but Meeks at no point SLID IN FRONT of the Oregon player. At least get that point right. Just saying.....

It's just not fair! Hopefully of y'all are drafting a letter to the NCAA right now to address this...as mad as everyone is...imagine how Bell feels and the injustice done to him...he was just out there trying to make a winning play when this bigger kid touched and took his ball.

I'm not saying you don't have an argument for there being no foul on Meeks. Bell did not block out at all on the first rebound attempt, and also made a feeble attempt on the second block out. I can see an argument either way based on the fact that referees swallow their whistles at the end of ballgames all the time. The thing you have mentioned more than once was that Meeks slid in front of Bell...that did not happen.

I want to be like you when I grow up. All I have to do is get a lobotomy.
