I always liked Dakari and was happy for him when he played well.

Allen Edwards.

Quiet, unhyped, and usually looked semi-awkward. But that was part of his thing. Like a shaolin drunken boxing master. Beast level skills. No surprise at all he was part of two titles.

No love for Heshimu Evans?
How about Marquise Estill?
Andre Riddick and Shep too.

But I loved what Evans brought to that 98 team.

What? Prickett and Sparks were really good players. They also played their asses off.
Not very talented and no athleticism. Look at thier stats. Prickett couldn't hit a layup to save his life. Sparks was a career (at UK) 10 pts a game.

Your knowledge of basketball, or lack thereof, is astounding. Sparks wasn't talented? I guess averaging double digits at UK isn't impressive at all...

Larry Steele and Mike Pratt they could have had greater stats if Rupp had not wanted Issel to break Cotton Nash's record.

Notwithstanding the unsubstantiated criticism, I still like Jared Prickett in response to the particular posted question. I'm going to also add Derrick Hord and I'm going to second the nomination of Dwight ("The Blur") Anderson.

Who said he was a superstar? What did he do, take your girlfriend in college?
He just wasn't very good. Below average starter. Why do you keep throwing stupid things in your posts? Steal your girlfriend, bball knowledge. Just juvenile.

I'd say all those guys were in the neighborhood of fan favorites if not outright so. You don't remember "Mooooooo!"? Who didn't love Shep?
Dre was our rim protector supreme for his time. Quis gave up his scholarship for the team and was money on the block with some range as well.

I'll go with guys that would often get crapped on some like Briscoe, Hawkins, Bobby Perry or guys everyone would seem to forget exist like Allen Edwards or Dale Brown

Who wasn't necessarily a fan favorite, but you really loved. Mine would have to be Patrick Sparks. I've heard a lot of negative comments over the years and never understood why.

Andre Riddick, Rodney Dent and Eric Daniels. Sparks is a stuck up bag of dongs, or he used to be.

Teague - people always seemed to hate on him throughout the year but he was huge for us in the tournament.
