He was absolutely horrible today. His tackling was as bad as I've seen in a long time. People give CTB **** for the shoulder dives and I get it. But man some of the stuff Farmer was doing was downright embarrassing..If I'm Travis Fisher I'd be embarrassed. I love Fish but one area his DBs have struggled over the years is tackling.

Sad thing is Farmer is plenty experienced and probably a lock as a starter next year.

My question is just how bad can guys like NPG be if Farmer can make plays like he did today and not get yanked. We take a huge step back on defense next year. I'm calling it now...

Need to pick up a few dudes on the portal.

I think lots of guys are injured the way talent seems to disappear so often for NU.
Maybe it does at the same rate for other schools, but it sure seems we have a lot of guy that are "studs" to be excited about simply to never do ****.

But to contradict myself, it was nice to see Gunnerson get in and actually seem to pressure the QB a bit ish.

DL losing some battles is one thing.

This thread is about a kid who REFUSED to tackle people. Dude needs to research the portal, because that crap doesn’t change.

CTB on the long TD run as well…JFC.

CTB hitting high on that run really pissed me off. The dudes running towards you and is 30-40 lbs heavier, someone needs to teach these DBs the physics of those situations. That said, I did appreciate his effort afterwards to run down the play even when it was an obvious TD.

The desire to hit a big backs high like that is baffling, but Farmer's grab of the shoulder pads... just plain lazy.

I want to stab myself in the eye every time I watch our DBs put their chin to their chest when they try making a tackle.

CTB showed some serious closing speed yesterday.. I gotta admit, that was pretty impressive
Yes he did. I know we like to **** on CTB, but outside of that mistakes (which happens in football) he played a pretty damn good game again. We will miss him.

In the national tournament, in the opening rounds he got pinned twice by two different kids in under a minute.
Which tournament. I get local TV news out of South Dakota and they showed highlights of him 2 or 3 years ago throwing guys around like tackling dummies.

CTB is Lamar Jackson 2.0. But he will play in the NFL, he’s got talent.
I disagree with this. CTB does some dumb things here and there but he plays his ars off which I could never say about LJ. We are so tired of sucking I think we are starting to pick at things/people that aren't the issue. CTB and DD are good players and will be missed when they are gone. CTB made a horrible attempt at tackling good RB but got off his ars and tried to make up for it.

Hunmacher (sp) got pushed around like a rag doll as well. Kid is not ready. BTW either is Jordan Riley wtf was Daniels that last series
A lot of hate on Hutmacher. I thought he held his own. He was in on that 4th down stop too and held his ground. Stille played like ***. If anyone got pushed around like a rag doll, it was him.

Of course he dominated in South Dakota.

Bryce Benhart was an undefeated HWY champion in Minnesota, a much better wrestling state.

Nationals. I think they were in Oregon. In the opening rounds there, he got tossed around like a tackling dummy.
