I agree they tend to start slow, and that might be the only chink in their armor. But the Mitchell and Robbinsville games were never in doubt. Andrews has done what they've had to do in every game so far. You can point to a bad quarter or maybe even a bad half, but you can't point to a bad 4 quarter game they've played this year, in my opinion.About every game against a decent team this year, Andrews has kind of started off slow.
Well said. What’s your prediction for this game?I agree they tend to start slow, and that might be the only chink in their armor. But the Mitchell and Robbinsville games were never in doubt. Didn’t robbinsville beat Murphy twice last year?Maybe this game will be like Murphy vs robbinsville last year. It's hard to beat a good team twice.
I think Rville beat Murphy twice last year.Maybe this game will be like Murphy vs robbinsville last year. It's hard to beat a good team twice.
That will go a long way on Friday night. In games where Murphy has struggled this year, they've been very undisciplined. You can't give free yardage to a team like Andrews.I’ve never seen such a disciplined high school team.
Wounded Robbinsville? You don't think Murphy was wounded as well? Starting RB in Laney who is also a great defensive player, starting TE Will Johnson and one other starter as well. @mbdfan can help with that but c'mon now BK, quit sandbagging. The Murphy team that played a wounded Robbinsville team.? That could of had something to do with them looking so good. Was that the first start for Robbinsville backup QB?
Wouldn’t it be nice if we all could say it was a mistake free game with no penalties and no one was dinged up and no one was out injured. A game where both teams gave it their all but one team came out a head. Those types of games are rare to none but I guarantee you us die hard fans would still find something to argue about. Lol. You got to love itI am not saying that Murphy played Robbinsville when the Knights were at the top of their game, (that game would def look different if played now) I was simply saying that was the last game Murphy played where they didn't give up 100+ yds in penalties. I agree Robbinsville was injured which definitely played a part in why Murphy looked so good, but that doesn't mean Murphy didn't look good lol.
Andrews played a beat-up Mitchell, doesn't take away from how Andrews looked in that game.
I believe you have mentioned time and time again, one starter out in 1A can make all the difference in the world. Pretty sure every team that late in the season is banged up its just who wants it more. That night, Murphy wanted it more.. Every team adjusts to injuries differently.Did they get wounded the week before the game or did they have a 8 weeks to settle in? I think mbdfan will be able to see through them yeller glasses and admit that those two situations are different.
If you want to talk injuries I promise Robbinsville has had more.
Williams
Carpenter
Campbell
One last week. I'll not say.
Dooley
All starters.
Not to mention the ones that were out but have made it back now.
And to your point, Robbinsville came in 3rd.. keep in mind, according to max preps, Robbinsville has over 40 players on the roster. Injuries happen but it should be next man up mentality (which happen with murphy in stalcup) instead of make excuses and blame losses on injuries. Murphy was picked close to 4th in the conference but finished 2nd.. preseason is just that, preseason. In college football, Tennessee wasn't even ranked in the preseason but look at them now.Well the SMc coaches disagreed with you. And picked a healthy Robbinsville to 4 peat
So for the record you think that 2 month after injury is the same as one week. it's just who wants it more?
Spot on ! Weaver played most of the Mitchell game with a broke thumb. He went on to play in a cast the next 5 weeks setting out one entire game. He had very limited touches on offense for six weeks. We also had another starter with a broke hand, couple of bad ankles but we didn’t dwell on it because it comes with the game. Reading most all the weekly posts the majority of teams have had injuries but you have to keep playing. And to your point, Robbinsville came in 3rd.. keep in mind, according to max preps, Robbinsville has over 40 players on the roster. And just an FYI, it was one month after injuries, not two months. And Murphy played with a "next-man-up" mentality. They didn't make excuses when losing to fannin county, they took the loss and then went undefeated in conference till they met the animal of Andrews.
Not trying to stir a pot here, just simply saying don't make excuses for losses. Man up and move on to the next one and get better which robbinsville has done, which murphy did and any good team should.
Best of luck the rest of the playoffs!
Andrews won’t lose on an extra point. Clarke is very accurate.I’ll take the dogs 21-20
Dogs are gonna block it, and they are gonna run WILD on those catsAndrews won’t lose on an extra point. Clarke is very accurate.
That worked real well for em last time lolDogs are gonna block it, and they are gonna run WILD on those cats
Like they did against RobbinsvilleDogs are gonna block it, and they are gonna run WILD on those cats
Does Robbinsville have a kicker?Like they did against Robbinsville
I think he was acknowledging that and saying they’d get 20 with two TDs and two FGs. JKAndrews won’t lose on an extra point. Clarke is very accurate.
Is this game going to be broadcast?
