I have a different opinion on this whole Mullen thing, but Scott can kick rocks.
I'm thankful for what Mullen did for our program and that's the bottom line. If you look at where our program was at the end of the 2008 Egg Bowl (when Jack did his famous Sonic Drive of the game was his drive back to Tupelo) and where it was when he left, it's one of the best program rebuilds I've ever seen. In 2008 we were a pathetic excuse for an SEC football team playing in a pathetic stadium with pathetic attendance. Within 5 years Dan Mullen had us at #1 for a large portion of the season, and taught us that we could have a successful program in modern times. He took us to some big bowl games, gave us the gift of everything Dak Prescott, gave us many winning seasons, gave us ranked teams on the regular, ushered in a stadium expansion and large crowds. He talked **** while he was going it, and put our friends to the North in their place. Whether you want to believe it or not, Dan Mullen and family were a big part of the growth that we saw in Starkville over the past decade. I know he's not here anymore, but I will always be grateful for what Dan did, and to think otherwise is simply ignoring reality.
But Loafers, he can eat **** for all I care.
