Behind the woodshed and kick him in the nuts and laugh at him for ever leaving, would you? I sure as hell would.

The jorted mob will be coming for his head soon.

I never wanted him to coach another game for us after that Orange Bowl performance. I never wavered on that opinion and stand by it.

At least Mullen’s not a gimmick coach and he’d have the players looking like they want to play.

You could count on Mullen. 4th or 5th place in the West was almost guaranteed accept that one time in 2014

Yeah...they really looked like they wanted to get after SC tonight. Way more than our team that quit this afternoon***

If he wasn’t always looking for another job every year, and rather really wanted to be here and was fully committed, Mullen would have been and would still be phenomenal for us.

At one time not too long ago I would've taken him back in a heartbeat. 17 that arrogant, narcissistic humpback bastard.

Dan was shooting for the moon in his next career move. Unfortunately for him, the calculations were off, he missed moon orbit and is now careening out into the solar system and beyond.

And let’s just say, we actually hired the guy back. Do you really think it would be any different in regard to his career aspirations if he had the chance? He’s an egomaniac.

I know this wasn't the question, but if I was to hire Mullen back, I'd put a clause in that if he was found to be looking for other jobs before the season was over, he's fired, and gets no buyout. (yes I know it's impossible)

Mullen should have had 5-6 more wins if he had not had a foot out the door at the end of the season from 2014 on.

If he'd gone to Tennessee like he wanted, he'd have been fired last year.

If leach left and Mullen was available, I’d go after him but:

1. He’d have to agree to one hell of a buyout
2. No contract negotiations unless he won x number of games
3. Would have to take input on recruiting and who to hire for that
4. Something abt his name coming up for other jobs. Don’t know how you would do it, but sure it could be done.

This is correct, but I would imagine this has humbled him and set him back to reality. He'll have better success at his next stop. And he may have success at Florida if they keep him, he's got a lot of youth.

Me personally, I just want him to be fired at Florida, for petty reasons. I want it to appear that the grass isn't always greener.

It would be like when Diaz came back. We really didn’t want him and he really didn’t want to be here. But we needed a DC and he needed a higher profile job - and results were just so-so. He’s gone after 1 year.

Nope. Never, ever, ever. You can’t go back. It rarely ends well for those that try.

A. Did you read the whole post?
B. Are you saying dump leach and take him back or simply if the opportunity arose?

I thought he would be a candidate for the Penn St job but probably going to be UCONN if UF decides to let him go

I would love to know his conversations with coaches and family about hindsight of taking the Florida job. Had minimal pressure here and a lifetime job with 7 and 8 win seasons with a fanbase that would be ecstatic with 9 and 10 win seasons.

Now he is expected to beat A surging Georgia regularly with teams no better than he had at MSU. We would have loved to beat Alabama every now and then…. But it wasn’t a deal breaker.

Hell no, I’m glad we have a different coach and a different offense. With all due respect to what he accomplished at MSU, he averaged seven wins and never went to Atlanta. Aside from the happenstance #1 rating he never reached higher than what MSU had before. The ranking turned out to be empty and the season ended with several disasters. He never beat Saban, and has yet to at a supposed blue blood program. Maybe Leach will never reach higher with this program either but I feel as good about their now future a I ever did with Mullen.
