First of all, I'd like to send you all my condolences on our win last night.
I'm very sorry that 19 point deficit didn't stick and that we were able to come back despite not shooting well or having Monk go off so that you can only attribute it to heart and coaching. I know that's hard for you guys.
To the "point," I'd like to say that if we had come back from down 19 with Briscoe playing 0 minutes, you'd all be using that as validation for throwing him in a wood chipper.
Further, if you've ever played or even watched basketball, you're likely familiar with the concept of role players. Mulder is a role player. His role is to provide offense and shooting off the bench when we need it. He came in and did that. He also hurt us a bit defensively and had an instance where he didn't give full effort on a loose ball.
Those things are okay. No one on the team plays a perfect game, ever. The point is that Mulder filled his situational role and then we went back to the regular rotation. Imagine a manager bringing in a reliever to get back to back power hitting left handers out. He doesn't let that pitcher finish the game.
The idea that Cal has favorites and that that somehow yields Hawkins and Willis playing (who until recently weren't Cal's favorites and therefore didn't get to play) while Mulder, two five stars and a four star sit on the bench, would be laughable if you guys weren't so dangerously stupid and didn't actually believe it.
I'm sure trotting Derek touching Willis out at the four spot while blue chip recruits like SKJ and Gabriel play less is all part of Cal's "I only care about NBA prospects" master plan to sabotage the history and success of UK basketball in order to glorify a future Euroleaguer from Mt Washington.
