Speaking for myself, it isn't me "seeing the 3's", it's the perception he gives while on the court that he can HIT the long ball, whereas Briscoe can't.People only see threes
Opposing coaches have to respect Mulder's ability to hit the 3, so it opens up the floor and creates spacing for Fox and Monk to penetrate. Cal said himself today they "need to work on better spacing"; well, how are they going to do that with two guards who can't shoot worth a damn?
Look, I like Briscoe, but he simply doesn't "fit" with this lineup, IMO. He should be coming off the bench and spelling Mulder; they could even split the minutes, but at least keep opposing teams honest with Mulder, and create that spacing Cal says they need.
I see no other way you're going to open up the floor with this 3 guard lineup; it just isn't possible, again, IMO.
