Ok. Someone with more knowledge, please fill me in... I'm hearing varying versions of the seeding process.
Does RPI come into play BEFORE conference automatic bid placement?
Lets say that the MPC finishes this way: (my guesses)
North Davidson 5-0
Oak Grove 4-1 (lost to ND and guessing they win against CD on Friday)
Central Davidson 3-2 (lost to ND and I'm guessing they lose to OG on Friday)
Ledford 2-3 (lost to OG, Central and probably will lose to ND on Friday)
Asheboro 1-5 (assuming they beat MC)
Montgomery Central 0-6 (assuming they lose to Asheboro)
I'd thought that ND would get placed with the other conference champs, according to RPI
Same with OG in this scenario. Getting placed according to RPI as compared to other 2nd place teams...
After that, I'd assume other teams would get in according to their RPI. (Props to the MPC's fourth place team being "ranked" 3rd overall in the West)
However, I've heard that this year, the RPI will play more of a factor overall.
Somebody who is "in the know"... I'd love to hear from you about it.
