When they are winning in a significant way no fan base comes close to being as repulsive as Indiana. Luckily, that hasn't happened in more than a Quarter Century and, God willing, will never happen again.

After hearing all the stories of how UK fans were treated at IU the last time we played and the way Crean acted I can't see how they aren't viewed as the worst by UK fans. I know we have this rivalry and hatred towards UL but, in my opinion, IU fans are far worse than UL has been to us and Crean tops Pitino in the classless category, despite how hard Pitino might try.

Before the cesspool that is INC rose to the surface, I'd have normally said Indiana. However, given the complete lack of ethics of the disgusting academic failings of that institution, I think they are the worst. Not only to they tolerate the near loss of accreditation, they seem to revel in overt cheating. They are literally happy that the institution has become pond scum.

UC and UConn are definitely honorable mentions. UC fans are jealous ******** but what right do they have to talk trash? That program is not a threat to UK in any way.

UConn fans are stuck up pricks, despite beating us recently in 2 different Final Fours. Very poor sportsmanship from that fan base.

I have that with a brother -in-law.

To be fair, he was the one who offered a truce before UK and UC met in the 2005 NCAAT. Since then, Hug's dismissal and the subsequent decline of UC BB hasn't given him the opportunity to say much... and he's kept a lid on the UK-hate, for the most part.

Unfortunately, that period of peace led me to make a horrible decision... watching that damned 2010 West Virginia game at his house, with all of his UC family there. Groan.

I know of one Uconn fan I see regularly on sports pages who I get along pretty good with.. But to any other UK fan,, he's a major prick,, lol.. I'm just as bad of a prick to all other teams fans as he is to the rest of the BBN,, so I get along with him for whatever reason.. Plus his team owning us twice doesn't give me much lead way to talk trash..

Since I live a far distance from Louisville and Lexington and have virtually no interaction with any fan other than UK fans, I would have to vote UK. I do not visit other boards, so I don't have opinions except for posters here. If you are here regular, you also know we have our share of undesirable fans. .......... "the pot calls the kettle black".

As a UK fan for over 60 years, I know why so many other school fans dislike us so much. (the same reason you hate them)
Knowledge fans have no reason to express themselves as such.
Kind of like cursing..........if you have a good vocabulary, you can express yourself without cursing.

For the record, I would put our fans in the top three.

I make other fans hate us ten fold.. I don't ever curse though.. And I just present facts.. But it's the way I do it.. We are college basketball and I'm proud to let everyone else know.. Arrogant prick is what I would call myself.. So yea I'd put UK at top if I was another fan base because I know there's loads of people as me around here..

There is a reason we are not playing at IU now. Their fans are vile and hate filled. Trash. If you picked anyone other than them its because you are clueless.

Absolutely the worst are the IU fans. Will never forget the NCAA tournament game in Atlanta where their fans were absolutely horrible. Shouting "F" Kentucky at the top of their lungs and harassing a mother and her 7-year old son (UK fans) that were sitting in their area. Finally security at the GeorgiaDome came down a few times and told them to stop the cheer or they would be escorted out of the building.

UofL fans as a whole are terrible, even though I have some good friends who are UofL fans. Had the pleasure of seeing one very trashy UofL fan (female one - definitely NOT a lady) being escorted out of the building at the Final Four in New Orleans.

Most other fans don't bother me so much - but I will avoid the fans of those two schools any time I get the chance to sit far away from them at a neutral venue. And I won't go to a UK vs UofL game at their place any longer. Their fans are so rude and obnoxious (not to mention falling-down drunk) that I can't enjoy the game. I've had beer spilled on me way too many times. There have been objects thrown at us as well. Despise both fan bases. I'm all for good-natured rivalries and a little friendly ribbing - but those two fan bases (in general) don't seem to understand that concept at all.
