Here we go........get ready for the conversation to switch to abortion and away from the gun violence in schools that are killing our children........and funny how they say "2nd Amendment" all the time, yet there have been limitations and restrictions placed on speech and assembly.........I agree with what Steve Kerr said........

"It doesn’t seem to matter to our government that children are being shot to death day after day in schools. It doesn’t matter that people are being shot at a concert, in a movie theater. It’s not enough apparently to move our leadership, our government, the people who are running this country to actually do anything. That’s demoralizing.”

“But we can do something about it. We can vote people in who actually have the courage to protect peoples’ lives and not just bow down to the NRA because they finance their campaign for them. So, hopefully, we will find enough people to vote good people with courage to actually help our citizens remain safe and focus on the real safety issues and not building some stupid wall for billions of dollars that has nothing to do with our safety, but actually protecting us from what truly is dangerous -- which is maniacs with semi-automatic weapons (who) are just slaughtering our children. It's disgusting."

Actually no MWV! On this one you guys on the Left are 100% correct. I'm going to side with your logic and morality here on this one.

You've correctly pointed out we should be outraged over the slaughter of our innocent children. They are only here by accident or permission of their parents. They didn't ask to be born right? Even though before then we knew they were totally expendable and/or disposable but only when we said if they should live or just be murdered if we didn't want them right?

So we should be outraged now that they are here and cut down in cold blood without our permission by a horrible weapon called an assault rifle. It's much more deadly and efficient than a pair of scissors that one could use to puncture their skulls or a vacuum tube that can be used to suck their brains out of their skulls after puncturing a hole in the base of their tiny little skulls while they lay in the unwanted wombs of their rejecting Mothers.

No no, these assault rifles merely slice them up like wet tomatoes and that's much more gruesome and ugly than dismembering them limb by limb and then selling off their body parts!

So I'm agreeing with you folks on the Left. Let's stop pretending these gun murders are just the price we pay for freedom, the right of some folks deciding on their own which random numbers of our kids are indeed unwanted and don't deserve a chance to live. Who are we to judge? All we do know is that one form of slaughter and murder is worse than the other and it's about time we recognized the difference!

So I agree lets ban all guns and allow our innocent kids to live! Life matters right? Oh the scissors and vacuums? I agree with you on the Left that those aren't as bad as guns, and slaughtering little kids with 'em is still probably nothing to get upset about, that is if we're still getting upset over the random slaughter & murder of our innocent kids.

Is there really a difference? You folks on the Left sure think so don't ya?

Why do people assume politicians bow down to the NRA. Could it possibly be that those politicians share the same belief in the 2nd amendment that the NRA does? Whaaaaa?

Right. I’m not even a member of the NRA, I don’t shoot very often anymore, and I haven’t purchased anything new in well over 6 years.

I get tired of the NRA calls, and I tell them to stop calling me all the time, but I am not apologetic in my beliefs when it comes to the Bill of Rights.

Personally, I think this speaks to the lack of focus we put towards our youth. Not just in education, but in summer programs, counseling, role models, community outreach, etc....

Public education can be the main tool to help cure many of our ills. If we treat it with the respect and funding it deserves.

Why wasn't his application to purchase a gun "flagged" over his demented You Tube and Facebook posts? No way he should have been allowed to purchase a weapon until or unless he was checked out a little further and cleared or denied his permit to carry.

Because those thing aren't legal for the FBI to do. We can say should and could all we want, but law enforcement can only do what it is permitted to by law. If you want those things then you are in favor of increased gun laws.
