Don't know how many of you are watching the UL/unc game on ESPN but on the info band that runs across the bottom it showed hof coach roy williams saying that although he is confident that unc is not involved in the FBI investigations he wouldn't be surprised if several programs are involved. Now why would he make a statement like that? Does he know something the rest of us don't? Why even say something at all ? Sounds like an arrogant unc statement to me. This is typical hof coach roy williams. When things are going his and unc's way he comes out with things like this. haven't heard any other college coaches commenting on it. Or could it be that maybe he is a little concerned and is trying to direct the wind. OFC
He was asked about the investigation and he’s being misquoted here. See his quote below. He started by saying he doesn’t think it’s as bad as what’s being reported, but then concedes there are over 1,500 coaches combined so it’s likely something will come out.

“I’d be surprised if it was that involved, and yet I’ve been surprised that something else hasn’t come up to add to it, because you’re talking about four guys (coaches per staff) and we’ve got 351 programs and everybody’s got four assistants, that’s a lot of people. I‘m guessing that some other things are going to drop at some point.”

Would anyone be surprised if Ol Roy, or higher ups at UNC, pulled a Phil Fulmer and threw other programs under the bus so they could skate on the academic fraud case?

Could just be coincidental timing, but these investigations seemed to start while UNC was doing everything they could to save their a$$es. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if the info that led to these investigations came out of Chapel Hill.

Nothing really surprises me when it comes to UNC and Roy. Roy is one of the dirtiest coaches to ever coach the sport and the university is a joke. If Roy misguides his players about their draft positions and lied to the NCAA, how extreme do you think this man would go? Both Roy and the University will go to extreme measures to protect their names.

We should call in a tip to the FBI suggesting Duke is up to something fishy. They'd never catch us then.

I bet you lingered over this comment for a few seconds before hitting the post button. That's when you should just hit control+A delete.

Whatever makes you feel better uncheat

I feel fine, thanks. The team that doesn't get OAD players won't be the hit dog. Keep whistling past that graveyard.

In truth, I hope Duke is squeaky clean because that makes is all the sweeter when you lose.

Yea, I think the FBI is way to busy trying to link Trump to a Russian hooker and prove Hillary is the kindest, sweetest most innocent female on the planet. They don't have time for us.

I have a question, and maybe you can answer it for me. First, though let me disclose a few things.

I thought, long before 2016, that both candidates were garbage. I can comfortably say they were probably the two worst presidential candidates of my lifetime. I could maybe throw in Gore, as a close third. After all you have to be a terrible candidate if you're sitting VP under a president with a 60 percent approval rating at the time of the election and still cannot even win your home state.

I also think the Democrats made one of the stupidest political decisions in American history by tying their collective wagon to Hillary. They failed to recognize that sadly a great deal of Americans a return to the presidential status quo (i.e. a middle-aged or older white guy in charge of the nation). Incredibly, the left ignored that unflattering reality and ran the one candidate a reality TV star with no military or political experience could actually beat.

Now, for my question:

Why in the hell do people still talk so much about Hillary?

14 months after the election, not a single week passes without the president, conservative pundits, message board posters and various other assortments of online commentators (both real and imaginary) mentioning something about Hillary Clinton, usually in some, "Yeah, well..." or, "what about..."

It's an amazing thing. Most defeated candidates return to their day jobs or fade into public obscurity. Not Hillary, though. Her name stays on people's lips and at the end of their fingertips.

I pose this question to you, Show, as you just happened to be the most recent person to name drop Clinton on a forum I frequent.

What if you were the school that got the OAD. and the only school that had those OAD talents stay 3 and 4 years?

Seems like that would take a lot $extra$ to get those players to pass up the money in the NBA and to stay 3 extra years at college. I mean take more than the Wheels for Heels "benefits" that they had.

"If your school produced a first-round pick in the past three years, be worried.”

Not gonna lie, I wouldn't be that surprised if every blue blood isn't at least a little guilty of something. Even if it's just players getting gifts from third parties.

unc has nothing to worry about. hof coach roy williams has already cleared them but thinks that a lot of other blue blood programs may be in some trouble. OFC

According to this piece from the article, it isn't limited to players represented by Andy Miller..

“There are spreadsheets detailing who got paid, how much they got paid and how much more they were planning to pay,” Yahoo quotes a source as saying. “The feds got everything they wanted and much more. Don’t think it will only be players who ended up signing with ASM that got paid. Those spreadsheets cast a wide net throughout college basketball. If your school produced a first-round pick in the past three years, be worried.”

I'd be lying if I said I'm not concerned... :(
