Not sure if it will help but I’ve emailed John Cohen to voice my displeasure and to let him know inwill
not be renewing by 5 season tickets as long as JM is here. I suggest everyone else do the same

I want Moorhead to succeed, not just for Mississippi State but he seems like a good guy, but he just doesn't have it, atleast not for this program. We need a head coach that is looking to prove themselves, high intensity energy, and a philosophy (offensive/defense/coaching personalities) that matches our recruiting base.

Watching the game from the stands tonight was disheartening, there is no energy on our sideline, really at any point during the game. Disappointing....

Come one come all.

I have been holding out a little hope for him but not any more. On the bright side, I just saved some money I had planned on spending to make the 8 hr trip to watch a game next season.

Maybe it was Cohen who should have been blocking/tackling
Curious..what do you think the coaches duties are? IF a supervisor of any company has employees under them that keep 17'n up how long do you think that supervisor keeps his or her job?

I tried ... I really tried to give him the benefit of the doubt all season. There has certainly been adversity, but Moorhead has not given fans any glimpse of hope that he can put a prepared team on the field. A good buddy of mine who's a Michigan fan (married to a state fan), can't understand why I've lost hope. B10 fans truly believe the dude is a genius and it must be Mississippi State's fault, not Moorhead.

I'll hope for the best in 2020, but I just don't see it anymore.

I like Joe and support him but he’s not cut out for our school. This is the first time I’m admitting to anyone and also myself this. I’m still holding out hope for next year for some reason but I’m really starting to get apathetic to the outcomes of our games. I like the guy but only from a distance I guess.

Everybody "likes" Moorhead...that has nothing to do with the fact that he should be fired. He's being paid millions of dollars to be "nice"??

If Joe isn't our football coach what exactly is there to like about him? Rockey Felker was a likable guy you could pull for even when he wasn't winning. I don't think Moorhead is evil or anything, but I kind of find him a smartass and off-putting.

At the end of year one: That was disappointing, but the offense was learning a new system so I'm not surprised that we struggled at times with the ball. Thank god for our defense, but that bowl game was embarrassing. Joe's just learning to be a HC, so maybe he'll learn from the mistakes.

At the end of year two: We beat Ole Miss and kept the bowl streak alive, but we lost a ton on defense so I didn't expect much more. Our QB situation sucked from the start with KT transferring/not transferring and TS getting hurt and studygate.... but still, we lost to a bad Tennessee team. Hell, we won some of our games and looked bad. And that bowl game...damn.

I wanted to like Joe. I hate the idea of our revolving doors at coaching positions (we can't build a program without developing some consistency). I believe in giving people time, but it doesn't seem like Joe is learning from his mistakes. I don't know who we'd be able to bring in that would be better with our program in its current state.

Next year is going to be tough. We're losing a lot of our key guys. I'm not looking forward to it (but I'll be at Carter-Finley when we play NC State).

We've had 4 football coaches since 1991. We are anything but a revolving door. Interestingly, our most successful men's program has been a total revolving door this decade.

It is going to be a rebuild now no matter the coach because of what Robin Joe and his band of Merry Men in Tights have done to our program. A new coach could reunite the fans even with a struggling year, if he is showing organization, discipline, and innovation.

I meant revolving door on the staff in general. How many different OCs, DCs, etc have we had. Even during Mullen's tenure, his staff was constantly changing.

Talk to the guy who just got hired at Florida State after taking Memphis to a NY6 Bowl. His staff turnover made ours look like relative stability. If your assistants and coordinators are good, people are going to poach them. This is not a problem as long as you are competent at identifying talent and hiring effectively. Keeping somebody around just for the heck of it is not a plus. See Hevesy.

There's the key, I suppose. I wasn't advocating keeping bad coaches around; my point was that if you are constantly losing good coaches, you're going to take a step backward sometimes.
