Maybe it’s the coaches job to prepare and teach fundamentals. Joe is the CEO of the program. The buck stops with him.

You're peeing in the wind. These are the same attitudes that brought us stansbury dying on the hill with the marshmallow

We suck

The celebration penalty with 30 seconds to go to cut into the 17 is a microcosm of where this program currently is.

It was the perfect conclusion to 2019

As if the Willie Gay thing didn’t help build your trust in him,I have a friend in Bham that has a relative on the team that told me they got in brawl so bad in the middle of the season this year they canceled the practice, the players took off their pads, and continued to fight in the locker room. If that doesn’t preach control and good coaching of a great D1 school, then I don’t know what does. Hell, give the man an extension John.

Moorehead was the guy failing to cover any receiver or make a tackle, right?

WTF do they have practice for? Besides fighting, that is.

It's his job to coach this bunch. And that offensive line you are shitting on was supposed to be a strength of the team. The same players have regressed in two/three years. You should never see regression at any position. When you do, it's not the player. It's not the unhappy fans. It's the coach. The guy making $4 million. It's time for him to go and you need to go with him.

There is no team. No cohesiveness. No discipline. No leadership. It’s all about individuals. It’s about doing whatever they please because the substitute is in.

I hate to break it to you but the performance of the players is DIRECTLY tied to the coaching and athletic support they get.

If you threw in the 85 Bears under JoMo they would play the same way.

YOU PLAY LIKE YOU ARE TAUGHT TO PLAY!

We all wanted him to succeed. From all accounts it was a great hire.

There is enough now to see it just isn’t going to work.

I tried to give Joe the benefit of doubt even up until today I still kind of supported him and wanted him to succeed. I kept trying to find excuses and I tried to see all of the off field issues and I tried to work the angle that players have to make plays and make the correct reads to make an offense go but we just weren’t executing. I tried to look at it every way I could and support this man because I do feel like he has dealt with more off field issues/uncontrollable issues than any other coach I can remember but as of today I can’t anymore. The lack of focus, fire, and pride through the last half of the second quarter and all of the 3rd quarter was astonishing. Also the lack of adjustments was awful.

When you look at championship standard teams across the country they’ve built a culture of effort in all things, discipline, and the coaches can cultivate leadership. I’m sure we have some great guys on this team but I didn’t see a lick of leadership from many upper class men all season. No one gettin in anybody’s face, nobody doing really much of anything to rally anyone. The lack of accountability amongst the team shows that leadership was lacking.

I think some of these young guys we have coming up could be that but it looks like it’ll be too late for Joe for that to come to fruition.

This ain’t workin. I like Joe. I want him to do well and I want his family to be happy but this is not working and I don’t see there being much of a turn around next season. Probably another 6-6/7-5 type season with some head scratchers. Incredibly frustrating 2 years under Moorhead.

Good post. I will be shocked if we win 6 next year. If we do he has improved, because he has so little returning on offense.

We still have at least one "pounding sand" Jo supporter on the board clicking who has not checked in yet.

Welcome to the club. I joined about 5 minutes in to the Tennessee game. Unbelievable how inept we are with an extra week or three to prepare for a game.

The only conclusion to draw is Jow just doesn’t know what to do between Sunday and Friday to have a team ready on Saturday.

When somebody shows you what they are you should believe them.
