Good luck with the soup beans bro. How long has it been man? I don't wish that on my worst enemy. Back in my home town of Shepherdsvile (Bullit Co - home of Mt. Washington and DW!!), there is a small mom and pop formerly known as The Kitchen. Made the best bowl of beans in 7 states. Do it up right with home-made corn bread and onion slices - mmmmmm mmmmmmm goooooood.

Man I crawled under more homes in Shepherdsville and Mt. Washington than you could imagine. I enjoyed my time there. Have fine memories.

(It's been since I was in Korea. I made a pot there and several of the American friends I made stopped over and ate me out of house and home that day. I made a huge pot and made a huge pone of corn bread from scratch.) Then we started on the Hite beer and that was it. I had that and they brought some liquor...a real party. Thanks for reminding me.

Somone back me up here? Thats just few off top of my head please fellow cats add to the list with some more examples! Hell most posters thought Davis was going to come in and be a Durant or a Prince!! UHH UHH He developed into the LOW POST MONSTER RACKING UP SEC PLAYER OF YEAR, SEC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR, DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR! FRRAKING DUMBASSES OMG!!
You would literally have to be eating paint chips to not think he one of the best all time he is in college basketball history at developing talent. the NBA this season has had 6 50 pt games . 3 of them were UK players. Nuff said bub.

Any time, I'd never turn down feeding a UK fan. Heck even would start you on a drunk. (Had a heck of a Halloween two years ago in my neighborhood in Summerville, South Carolina when a couple UK fans came trick or treating with there kids. The chumps drank half my beer that night but we hid it well...

I think I remember you telling that story later in a thread about UK fans being found everywhere.

I sure did. It was worth telling twice. I've moved quite a LOT the last several years, Korea, South Carolina and now Virginia, we hope to be here a while though.

Those same people we met while the wife and I was walking the neighborhood one evening and they did reciprocate though it wasn't expected.

I would think at this point that even Arkansas fans would be able to objectively see that Monk clearly made the best choice for his future by picking UK. He's a household name here. No one would have even seen him play yet at Arkansas. Not to mention how well his game has developed since the time he got here.

Sometimes blind fandom clouds one's judgment.

I understood Damien Harris' decision to go to Bama. I would've made the same one.

Arkansas fans can't come to grips with the fact Monk choose to play at a top-tier school in another state rather than playing at a mid-pack program in a large, half empty arena in some show of loyalty to his home state.

Then out of tbeir jealously, envy, butthurt, and stupidity CAL don't develop players! Yeah tbey not butthurt or anything!!

Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that UK scores 100+ on the pathetic Loserbacks D on Saturday? UK will be racing to the finish line. Dunks ahoy, 3 point shots raining down, fire and brimstone from the heavens. Poor little Arkansas fans are going to take it up the tailpipe again.

You know, when Arkansas first joined the SEC I thought "that's a good move". But, now the more I hear from their fans, the more I think we all got screwed bigtime.

How are we ignorant. I am fully aware we are way outmatched in Saturdays game. We will have to play a near perfect game and Kentucky to have a bad night to have a chance. My argument is Cal is a GREAT RECRUITER, but not a great coach.
Recruiting is a large part of coaching .

No Townes, Harrelson, Davis all developed low post games while at Kentucky maybe not Cals per se doing but Kenny Payne helped these guys develop low post games.
Stretching the definition of "developed" here. All 7 foot guys have the basic instinct to catch a ball turn and score from 2 feet. The impression is that Cal somehow turned shooting guards into true centers with these guys. The truth if you go back and review was that while all three did at some point start using a back to the basket low post game, all three did so very seldom compared to their potential at least while at UK. Harrellson was used more as pick and roll guy and only the last half of his last year. Davis got most all of his points on put back, lobs, and energy plays ... very seldom post moves. Same with Towns. He had the natural skills to dominate in the post but we rarely used him for that until the final four. Again I can say the same for Willy. Never learned a low post game at all. Not picking on Cal as his offense is not low post oriented and relies more on drives and put backs from his big men, just saying easy with the Cal developed these guys. He did more to develop their minds for battle than skills that the already had IMO.

Speaking of development, who has Mike Anderson developed?

Player development is the **** we used to talk about when Tubby and Drunkie McGhee were here to make us feel better about our 3-star recruits.

I really do not harbor any hate for fellow sec teams, except for Arky. I hope its a brutal beatdown, and Monk just smiles at the camera. Their fans have that little brother syndrome, common in many UL fans, but their accomplishments are very low on the pecking order. I hope Anderson whines like a baby again, he's always good for a few laughs. Eff Arkansas

You know, I have to agree with you. I've been to many other SEC schools for games and have always been treated real nice. Also been around many opponent SEC fans at both Commonwealth and Rupp with some great and friendly conversations. Then there is Arkansas fans. They have been the rudest I've run into and never have had a good experience with one of their fans yet.

I hope to see Monk get to the line a lot from all the hard fouls we throw at him. Make him scared to drive and only shoot threes. Every time he drives knock his dick in the dirt. He's already scared to drive so make him really think about it.

Lets just let all our bench players get technicals for punching monk in his giblets. We 4 or 5 guys at the end of the bench. So just spread it out.

I'm with it! Make him scared to step on the court.

Those are some of the lowlights of the thread.

You must have been watching a different Towns and Davis than I watched play here.

WCS wasn't a low post guy because he usually had a teammate that was a more natural post player (Randle and Towns). But as far as development goes, he went from out of place against Bobby Mo in the NIT to 1st team AA and the #6 pick in the NBA draft.

You got to remember your dealing with people who rode the short bus to school and has sexual relationships with farm animals. (MAINLY PIGS) On the subject of development all they know about it is there inbreeding blood line development and fighting over who gets to marry the 13 year old sister! ( I JUST SHOVED THEIR GUTS STRAIGHT UP INTO THERE LUNGS)

Obviously you cant read or you have never followed a real program!! DAVIS AND TOWNS BOTH WERE FACE THE BASKET PLAYERS!! DUMBASS! CAL IS THE ONE WHO TIRNED THEM INTO LOWPOST PLAYERS! WCS was a wide receiver and turned him into a lottery pi k! LIGGINS wasnt much of anything until Cal changed his game! Harrelson was just a juco 3 star and CAL turbed him into a low post beast! All players under Cal develope defensively or you dont play period!! YOU ARE A COMPLETE TOOL MORON WHO IS SO JEALOUS and full of envy. I love it to be hated this much!! LOL you are a complete turd and gave no clue about developed players? Who the hell has been developed out of the Arkansas program?? HHMMMM WHO I CANT GEAR YOU?? WHO HAS DEVELOPED AND WENT TO THE NBA FROM ARKY?? 2-3 players in the last year? Im waiting oh wait no players getting developed from arkansas. If you dont develope you dont get drafted. Yeah the NBA drafts players from 1 school that a coach doesnt develope! GOOD LORD go educate yourself! Liggins, WCS, Harrelson,Dakari, Hattisons, etc would of never been drafted if they went to a different school!! Yeah Kentucky has all these resources and they just roll balls out and its an AAU TEAM!! Give me a break! Your so ignorant its sad! Your envy is so great I absorb it and soak it in!! Go get some exucation on what a real Coach and program is punk!!

Turned* DUMBASS!

Appreciate your passion but not sure low post development is at the top of Cal's accomplishments. Davis hardly used those skill at all, didn't need to and Towns hardly ever touched the ball low until his last couple of games and that was out of necessity because we couldn't score. Willie Cauley never improved his low post skills in 3 years. Love Cal but this is not what I'd lead with on his list of talents.

Well, you either didn't watch enough games or are just unable to see the vast improvement those guys showed over the season. By midseason, Davis had a beautiful hook with either hand that was money. Towns was the most consistent low-post threat on that team by mid January. Willie developed solid post moves and a decent jumper by his last year. It wasn't used as often because of the depth he played with though. Cal's development of big men has absolutely been at the top of his list of talents.
